Would it be a fair assumption that they are no longer in the country?
More likely they never were (officially) here.

Audi yep

Asian driver yep

Probably get slated on here but pissed off that this has happened again.
If they want to know the identity of the other people in the car, why don't they just 'ask' the bloke they arrested ?

When I say 'ask' I don't mean "excuse me sir but would you be so kind as to provide us with the identities of the other people in the car?". I mean "unless you immediately provide information on the other people in the car we will be introducing your soft dangly bits to this lovely pair of pliers". I'm guessing he'd be very compliant....

No just explain him .. his family .. ALL his family ..... the big extended family ... All of them will be rehomed following a small flight to Myanmar .... Maybe help with his integration by explaining the neighbours at a touchy and to keep themselves to themselves biggrin

Going ridiculously fast in the wrong place in a fast Audi and killing innocent bystanders, then, fk off sharpish if your legs still work, does seem to be a theme.

The ownership and insurance details of the car will be illuminating, and the guy they have in custody, hopefully he will be prosecuted and the other guy be found.

FFS learn how to drive beyond plating right foot and holding it there, stop showing off as nobody thinks its cool apart from 12 year old boys, everyone else thinks BELL END in a fast, and probably very, very dodgy car. If it wasnt so tragic, people would be laughing at the pathetic, needy showboating and lack of skill/judgement.

Perhaps go further than the high street for land speed record attempts, maybe do a track day, maybe get a Micra as you cant be trusted with anything with > 60 bhp.

Unlikely to find dangly bits, he was an Audi driver so by definition you’re more likely to find a donkeys yawn down there.

The last few posters must feel like real idiots now, referring to Mo, 3rd generation Pakistani, Abrahamic religion, gods will! I think it would be interesting to wait for a few more facts but I'm not sure Jaynesh Chudasama is a follower of your implied racist accusations.

My problem is with young males in fast cars driving too fast whatever their background is, however I do think that there does seem to be a pattern and perhaps that is why people were jumping to conclusions, doesnt matter if the driver is Muslim, Hindu, C of E, Atheist or whatever there are too many fast cars being driven very recklessly in urban settings ending in horrific high speed accidents.

Some young men have always driven too fast but back in the past they didnt have 200, 300, 400 bhp plus, a Nova SR, XR3i or the like could still do damage but 73 bhp or 100 ish didnt get you to 100 mph in 10 seconds, high performance is just so easy to get your hands on nowadays, even if this A5 was a diesel model it will have had 170 bhp and accelerate pretty rapidly.

Umm, have you ever looked at an atlas of the world?

Pakistan is in Asia. A Pakistani is an Asian.
The UK is in Europe. A British person is a European.

If somebody has a British passports, they are British and they are European.
If they have a Pakistani passport, they are Pakistani and they are Asian.
If they have both a British and Pakistani passport, then they are British-Pakistani dual citizens.

It's a miracle that multiple deaths aren't a regular occurrence, given the propensity of arrogant, dhead driving in the area, which is what I was inferring.
Not that anything is allowed to be done about it.

Watching the BBC news last night the presenter referred to that section of road as a 60mph limit. That can't be right?

It is correct.

NSL applies before you even get to the Premier Inn, about 300-400m before the bus stop location.

Just asking for some facts here:

(1) which way was the car travelling - towards the bend or away from the bend?
(2) what type of Audi was it?

Given that the flowers are all on the cemetery side then it looks like it was heading for the bend.

Thanks
