The murders massively affect young black men 358 vs 48 for white men, but still an improvement over 2016 where there was over 700 murders. (Still kind of high for a city of just 2.7m vs 8m for London).

Yeah right.Tell your friend that FBI stats show 4% of the population commit 56% of the murders. ( males of a group aged between 13 and 35)
However that is not even close because that counts convictions only and cities like Chicago do not cooperate with their stats.
Most murders in the hood go unsolved its closer to 4% commit 75% of the murders

There are typically around 40 shootings a weekend in Chicago. Funny how those never make these threads.
Take away that one demographic and America has less murdered per 100k than Belgium.
Check the stats for Wyoming. They have less murders that we do.
Also i notice they did not include the POC wearing a down with the patriachy shirt who got killed trying to enter a school with a gun. Shot at police officers before being killed.
Of course the media was full of unarmed poc gets murdered by police.
