America has a serious problem if it seems that the only viable candidates for President are talk show or reality TV show hosts. There is something very worrying if a nation cannot engage with serious and professional politicians anymore.

The media really has become the message. Sadly the message is "Vote for me. I'm a familiar face - and I know nothing about governing or how to manage an administration - but you like me because you've seen me umpteen times on telly".
Don't worry, Zuckerberg will save us from the onslaught of the 'slebs. Oh.

As for Oprah and her 'inspiring' speech, hypocrisy is dead in the age of identity politics it seems.

She has attributes that are very electable at the moment.
st like this ( https://twitter.com/TheDemocrats/status/9500360991...) is what will get Trump a second term.

"Let's elect:

?Black women
?LGBT women
?Muslim women
?Disabled women
?Jewish women
?Latina women
?Millennial women
?Jewish women
?AAPI women
?More. Women."

Good policies will be what actually gets them back in, not playing identity politics pandering to a vocal minority.

She's got all the right cards to play, gender, race and even is a bit of a fatty too. That's my tip for inclusion and increasing your diverstity ratios this year, Fatties.
Well all those traits worked for Trump, why not Oprah?

She's a shoe in.
You forgot the bit where it's rumoured she's a lesbian as well.

On the BBC ten o'clock news, they said Oprah has denied that she intends running for President.
Then the reporter said "They all say that"
So what does someone who absolutely doesn't intend to run say when asked?
Ask Jim Hacker.

Am I doing this right?

Well who ever it is I just hope I've seen him/her on things before and they've got nice teeth.

really?

Did you hear her?

If a man made that speech with the genders reversed he would be vilified.

If she runs...the GOP will bring in Kid Rock. his campaign song will be "we don't need another negro"

(I was planning to leave anyway)

Personally, I'm hoping for President Markle-Wales, followed by the repeal of the Declaration of Independence and the surrender of the entire US Navy at Portsmouth. Then Trump can be charged retrospectively with treason and the death sentence be reinstated specifically for him. Hillary, in a supreme feat of irony, will be quietly bumped off, having managed to trip over and shoot herself in the back seven times.
