You can't go saying that sort of thing Nigel has upset the political classes and the
smug middle class lefty types , what harm has Blair ever done ??? people need to get a grip ,
Farage should be in prison for what he has done telling tales on our beautiful generous
EU benefactors and worse still taking money from them and not worshipping them like the our great political people like the Kinocks and lord Mandelson do ....
I think one of the issue is that one of Farage's USP's is the whole "man of the people" image that he has very successfully cultivated.smug middle class lefty types , what harm has Blair ever done ??? people need to get a grip ,

Setting yourself up as the anti-establishment ordinary "bloke down the pub" only to turn out to be as bad as many of the establishment you claim to stand against doesn't, or shouldn't, look at all good.

I'm left wondering what exactly you corrected when you edited that, and why you didn't carry on with the rest of it.smug middle class lefty types , what harm has Blair ever done ??? people need to get a grip ,

The investigation took a year. Dangerous Elk is upset because the investigation was conducted by EU financial controllers and not by a court. Gosh, how unusual for an organisation to conduct its own internal investigations of expenses fiddles, just like pretty much every employer and organisation that pays people does. Definitely a conspiracy, eh? Farage has the right to challenge the decision in the Court if he wishes.
Yes he does, and Farage has already said the decision is unfair and unjust. It is very strange that an upholder of the law does not recognise there is a dispute and calls for hanging him rather than council that others should wait for a legal judgment. Double standards from you in 1000Kg bags !

I think history will judge him better ....

History may, who knows.I think history will judge him better ....
I'd also suggest he's gained quite a bit personally from the thing he despises so much (the £73k/year pension for life for example).
Where I struggle is with people who agree with him politically not being able to see any irony with him having been found to have his snout in the trough.
It's possible to agree with someones politics whilst disagreeing with their actions.

Is Farage taking the EU to court then?,can't wait for that.
Maybe you should as he has already disputed the sanction ? Remainers so far: Ignore Parliament, ignore the people's vote, ignore the law, ignore innocent until proven guilty. And people call Farage a Fascist or maybe a reflection on those who admire the Eu "system" of governance.

I'm sure that some politicians will use the rules as far as possible - it looks as though Farage might have pushed too far and (if so) will rightly be punished for that. Whether it's quite as black and white as made out, I doubt we'll ever know.
I'm also sure that the EU would (understandably) be very keen to catch out Farage and potentially be more likely to 'look the other way' if the same issues had occurred with a pro-EU MEP.
Am equally cynical. Whatever else I might think of Farage misallocating funds to support UKIP business, a bit of googling does make it look like anti-EU MEPs are happily dobbed in by the EU accounts committee whereas they generally draw the curtains on the actions of the rest of the MEPs.I'm also sure that the EU would (understandably) be very keen to catch out Farage and potentially be more likely to 'look the other way' if the same issues had occurred with a pro-EU MEP.
