Hopefully if you or your family are ever in the awful situation of needing to claim asylum elsewhere, it'll be somewhere more compassionate than that.

I'd stop at the first safe place though.
You can't. It's people say it's too full to help you and you don't bring anything to the country.
It's what your supposed to do.

When you reach a safe country you are an asylum seeker. When you choose to continue through that and other safe countries you become economic migrant.

For fk’s sake.

Let’s stop fannying about. Why do we need a constant flow of cheap labour?

It’s because of the colossal increase in dividends taken by shareholders from company profits in relation to the amount reinvested.

The only way of keeping shareholder profits where they are is by decreasing costs. This is done in many ways - not least amongst them reducing labour costs.

Hence mass immigration.

It’s very, very simple.

We do not have mass immigration out of the goodness of our hearts. It’s not because we are bleeding hearts, or kind, or soft. It is the EXACT opposite. The way our economy is configured demands it.

For the love of all that’s holy - think it through!

Jesus! - the level of plain stupidity on this forum sometimes staggers me. It just does my head in.

Bunch of fking idiots.

Edited because you lot are a bunch of dimwits and I’m so pissed off with the lot of you, that my spelling has gone to st.

Idiots.

Can you point me to some colossal increases in shareholder dividends? Obviously that will need to be an industry that used to pay good wages but now pays minimum wage.

Were you looking in the mirror when you typed that? - because you’re looking rather foolish.

70% of the earnings of the FTSE 100 companies comes from outside the U.K. Look at those companies and tell us all how (and how much) they have benefitted from cheap labour imported to the U.K.

Again, let's hope more compassionate people come forward if you or your family are ever in need.
I'm sure you've put yourself forward already then? Just like Lily.

The fake news that tends to get spread around social media about this kind of thing has clearly done a number on some people here - they seem utterly terrified of people who live outside their own county, let alone country!

Dyson, made with labour in developing countries (paying higher than average local rates and great conditions), training, education center, design and development with high wages in the Uk in fantastic conditions, profits back to the Uk, benefits of productive employment in the developing country.

But hated because he does not vomit pro-Brexit bluff.

Who are you claiming is terrified of foreigners?

As per the other thread - apparently it's mainly the young people that use the internet and social media - that doesn't quite align with your claims though!

Real news, 40 minutes ago a handgrenade (it is believed) detonated outside Rosengård police station in Malmö, no person was injured, but several cars were damaged.

Think about this for a while, a handgrenade. When was the last time a handgrenade was used in the UK? Or any other country that isn't at war?
There seems to be a blast a week in Sweden right now.

What will happen there is that I will find some data. You will find some data - both of us will say our data is right. Round and round we will go. It is the NP&E way.

As an aside. I make no value judgement about the desirability of the situation I describe. I’ve done quite well out of dividends over the years. I’m just not too much of a pussy to deny my culpability when it comes to immigration.

Immigration is entirely the result of a need for cheap labour. Ask yourself why, when it is political Suicide to keep the numbers flowing, no gouvernment is overly concerned with making a real dent in the amount of people entering the country?

It’s as plain as your nose.

So you have no data to support your claim? Ok, pretty standard for NP&E.

They’ve fked up they’re own countries even after a good 60 years of aid from the west

No, I don’t. Data is pointless in this medium. This is, as you well know, because there is a huge array of data available to support any point of view - especially on something as nebulous as immigration.

Instead of yer’ classic NP&E nonsense, why not just see if you can understand and either agree with, or disagree with, my point.

I say immigration is caused by the need for cheap labour, caused by shareholders taking out larger sums in dividends than they did 20 or 30 years ago, allowing much less reinvestment in those companies, in turn necessitating a cut in operating costs which manifests itself, in this arena, as a need to bring wages down. Or, at the very least, make sure they remain static. Ergo - a really colossal demand for cheap labour, that must henceforth get ever cheaper.

What say you? If this not the reason why successive gouvernments have allowed so many immigrants in, over such a long period and in spite a massive public disquiet, then what IS the reason?
