Indeed I do, however, starting with it though is not Godwin’s law, it’s a statement of opinion, it’s not the result of a descent into ludicrousness

It might be a corollary, for example: The people that call Godwin generally don't know what it means, so any thread discussing Goodwin cannot make any meaningful progress.

Calling Goodwin is NOT a thread win.

Then I should think you would know that I was not comparing Brexit to Hitler, merely pointing out that the majority of threads now tend towards mentions of Brexit, rather than Hitler.

i.e. Has Brexit replaced Hitler with reference to Godwin’s Law?

I think he means that when a thread is started like "do you think I should but a red car" after two or three pages some turnip will say "its all the fault of fking brexit" where a few years ago they would have said "Its Hitlers fault there are red cars the ".

Actually the angry frothing does not seem to be coming from a brexit direction - had we lost however I do agree that there'd be plenty of frothing then
