Thanks for that link OP: 'Ha, gotcha!' I could watch that over and over; you can actually see the cogs in her brain grind to a halt. Newman's Titanic meets Peterson's iceberg.

It popped up on the youtube thread a few days ago.
I've watched a few comments on it, and watched some of JOrdan's vids. He gets more excited in other videos, not sure everything he says holds water, but he's a good talker.

Unfortunately Channel 4 and a lot of the usual culprits like the Guardian tried to claim off the back of it Peterson was a loon.

It's worked on some as one called Peterson Alt-Right in the James Damore thread.

But the majority see through it, as shown by the comments on the videos, and there is huge support for his views of the world.

Channel 4 came out saying they've had to recruit extra security regarding the threats Cathy received because of the interview when there is evidence to suggest it was the hordes of angry feminists that directed more abuse at Peterson.

And here's his own response to it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=46&amp...
Cringe moment - he tweeted this appeal to people :

Big mistake. It can be (and was) taken as an admission that credible threats were made. It stands a fair chance also of being interpreted as evidence that Peterson controls a social media "mob".

It's worth watching the first few minutes of this, not the whole thing! (if you have time).

He met Cathy in the green room before the interview and had no expectation it might turn out that way.

After a few minutes JP realised he needed to assess her MO.

I have noticed some of PH has picked up on and likes to refer to "cognitive dissonance", this interview is a reasonably good example. smile
I had only just started watching that a few minutes before!
Animus possessed. That reminds me so much of some posters here, Some who are so much ZXers that they must have social interaction issues. Those who just seek out arguments from their enclosed positions.

As you no doubt saw from the other interview (the civilised one with the Dutch chap), he fully realised his error in making his twitter appeal.

Sometimes being honest and acting with the best of intentions has its price.

However people determine to interpret this, sensible people will still want to see him and hear him to make up their own minds.

One advantage gained of course, is that many more people are now much better informed how to answer some of the claims made by Newman and her ilk, and have seen a fine example of how to stay supremely calm and measured while under fire.
A master class in my opinion.

Given the name attached to that analysis, I would have significant concerns over its independence. It does however on the face of it tally with a brief scrape I did of the 50,000 or so youtube comments

It is a familiar tactic on the left to adopt a victim position after a poor performance. Victimhood is a felt to be unassailable and thus be used as part of the 'by any means necessary ' actions. Remember Ed Balls and his stutter?

She should offer some of her salary back after that interview.

His lecture on 'White privilege' was good I thought.

Interesting views on why he thinks the eu will fail too.

Didn't agree with him about Hitler and his reasons for the holocaust.

Got a link or specific interview/talk?

I'm curious because I don't think I've found solid ground for disagreeing with him on the Holocaust.

'Ordinary Men' by Christopher Browning, which he often references, is a very powerful read.
It very much clarified, and confirmed, for me some thoughts I had already had.

I watched one that covered white privilege, I thought his ideas on privilege were in the right area, but didn't agree on how all outliers are the same.
I'll have to watch all if it's the same one that has Hitler stuff.

No sorry. It was a classroom lecture on YouTube .

He wasnt really giving a strong view, more questioning why Hitler diverted his attention from the war. Saying he could have won the war, then done the murdering after. Suggested his main focus/psychological state may have been that he was intent on causing mayhem.
