Am I the only one who is struggling to understand this?
I read the article as saying that they dropped the charge of possession as it couldn't be proved, but he was rearrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug. So they switched the charges so the guy could go and give some poor medical staff a crap time, rather than being released altogether.

After holding off that long it could be that he can no longer go naturally even if ready to give it up, so to speak. I had a paralytic intestine after an operation and was re-admitted to hospital because of it, potentially very serious.
