Another fascinating Twitter meltdown from Trump this morning.

He really does give the impression of someone who is almost trying to come across as extremely guilty of something.
It's beyond belief. I don't know how he could look more guilty if he tried

Trump cancels Russia sanctions
Trump invites Putin to White House
Trump congratulates Putin
Trump furious over leak of warning to not congratulate Putin
"Putin is great, Obama is rubbish!"

Wazzock!

The *only* thing that I find surprising in all of this is that there remains a sizeable chunk of the American public who are still absolutely enthralled by the Emperor’s wardrobe.

Absolutely.

I mentioned it in the thread a few weeks ago but it's definitely worth mentioning again. It's a must watch in my opinion.

Very good investigative documentary that lays out just how incompetent, deluded, and false Trump is, using lots of evidence and interviews with former staff and business associates.

The episode is called 'Dirty Money - The confidence man' if anyone wants to watch it.

Part 1: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6eepkb

Part 2:

Just watched this - the man is a complete and utter . And now he has convinced people to vote him to be President, selling them the same lies he sold people over the years.

Amazing. Ultimate confidence trick.

Can he maintain this however? Will this sizeable chunk remain enthralled regardless of anything he does?

I'd hate to think what might happen if they realise they've been duped.

Many seem to be genuinely brainwashed. There are plenty of comments under his latest Twitter comedy, whatever it happens to be, saying stuff like ‘best ever president!’ and ‘I thank God for you every day President Trump!’

It’s truly bewildering.

He lied to Forbes to get on their rich list. They have tapes!

Trump claims: Claims to be worth $3.7 billion and also claims $900 million liquid.
Forbes believes his empire is only worth $200 million and $19 million liquid.
Reading that article reminded me that I still wanted to track down the book "TrumpNation" by Tim O'Brien which hasn't been available on kindle in the UK. I'm on holiday in the US at the moment and have just managed to download it via Amazon.com and so far it's a great read; Trump really is a pathological liar.

I think mainstream politics in the US is so polarised, simplistic and watered down, those who blindly support Trump simply because he’s not the otherwise i.e. democrat / ‘liberal’ / Hillary.

First Lady should be looking for an EXIT with funds so she can get out of this mess before the S.S Trump goes down. She’s not a bad looking lass, she’ll have options.

Trump on the phone pretending to be other people to pretend he is a billionaire to get on a list to be accepted as a successful developer is is possibly the funniest thing I’ve heard in some time.

Yes, I think you’re right. It is a sorry situation. Really, still defending Trump at this point is getting into very extreme psychological territory. The whole thing is a total clownfest, I think there will be some people who will, a few years from now, finally accept that they made a horrendous misjudgment voting for this crook.

It’s worth remembering that Nixon still had something close to 30% support at his lowest point, so there are a significant amount of folks who just live with their heads firmly buried in the sand and only support ‘their side', however dodgy their figurehead is.

The media lies
Mueller lies
Comey lies
Obama lies
Clinton lies
Judges lie (and some do it because they are mexican)
Any of the numerous women making sex assualt claims against him lies
Scientists backing climate change lie
Families of US slain soldiers lie
All the intelligence services lie

Yet Putin: "He means it - I believe him"

At the time of writing this, everyone else including Melania Trump was at Barbera Bush's funeral. Instead of attending he went to Mar-A-Lago, lied about not knowing or ever speaking to a NY Times journalist, unfairly attacks her, defames a person by calling him “a drunk/drugged up loser” and tries to convince his personal lawyer from flipping and providing evidence about his crimes. Then headed to golf course for a round.

The Washington Post have an opinion piece that Trum won't be running in 2020, mostly based on the legal cases and investigations building to a crescendo against him

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/this-emper...

The real reasons is, whilst his ego would want him to stay for a second term, he's really using the campaign funds to pay his way now, pay his legal fees, his families legal fees, pumping as much as possible into his business, using it as his running expenses, just milking the donors for as much as possible before the end comes. Unless he's that deluded he thinks he can do anything and he really thinks he's innocent...

I'm sure there are loads who are relieved "that woman" isn't in the Whitehouse and are holding their nose over Trump, but there are also a large swathe who like Trump simply because he annoys "libtards". It'll be interesting to see how many hold onto the Trump dream when it all comes crashing down blaming the swamp rather than the man.

Pevious presidents had dodgy dealings and were basically crooks, but the current inept incumbent tops the lot and will hopefully be taken down by the sheer weight of evidence. The Trumptanic is sinking and the band will carry on playing the ‘No Collusion No Fraud’ refrain till the end.
