As an aside is anyone following twitter?

Kanye, Chance etc???

Its absolutely hilarious. I have started following Kanye because his tweets and the responses are epic.

Basically he has been trolling the F out of people by posting about Trump being his brother and that he loves Trump and also posting pictures of him wearing Maga hats and a signed maga hat.

Anti trumpers and liberals are going utterly nuts.

Today he posted screen shots of a chat he was having with John Legend because was telling him to think again about supporting Trump and so on.

Its possibly the best thing to happen to twitter.

The job of a politician is to get elected and once elected to stay in power.
Call me a hopeless altruist but I'd prefer the job of a politician to be running the country in a way that benefits its citizens and hopefully the wider world. I know this is a pipe dream for the most part, but most politicians, in the western world at least, at least try to take this notion beyond baseball caps and dog whistle rhetoric in half-empty sports halls.
That's why I like Trump, there is no pretence.

Laugh all you like, but I think everyone knows what they are getting with Trump.
Oh I am laughing...

Pretence:-

1. pretending or feigning; make-believe.

2. a false show of something

3. a piece of make-believe.

4. the act of pretending or alleging falsely.

5. a false allegation or justification.

6. insincere or false profession.

7. the putting forth of an unwarranted claim.

That’s the issue. They think they know what they are getting with him, but he just lies, talks rubbish, and only does things that benefit him and no ones else.

It's clear as day that attempting to reason with a Trump defender is just a total non-starter.

So do you think Obama, or Bush Jr, or Carter, or FDR, or Lincoln* were just in it to feed their egos and enrich themselves, but were just better at hiding it? Which is why you particularly like Trump?

*or insert any other President here

All politicians do that.

Trump just makes it more obvious, which to me is a good thing.
Haha. Good logic.

You like Trump because he lies, but makes it more obvious than the others.

Oh. So in your view, the bigger and more honest the crook is, the more of a good thing he is.

Well, Nixon must have been a real disappointment with all that protesting his innocence. And Putin won’t own up to a thing. Very poor show.

Whereas Idi Amin really nailed the crooked but honest leader. He was the real deal and lived to tell people he was.

Trump has some skills using this index but he’s not quite there yet. He rips the taxpayers off with Mar-a-Lago and billing the Secret Service and having them protect his rock dumb kids pretty well. But maybe he should just let himself be filmed writing a cheque to himself for a few billion dollars. Because that would be completely obvious even to the most adoring fan of the Emperor’s new wardrobe.

Well, maybe. To most of them. Some of them. Perhaps.

See its posts like this one from Gregg and others on here like the ones with Trump in a dress etc which make me realise its almost pointless trying to engage in discussion on this forum as you are all so filled with rage and hatred towards Trump you have lost all sense of decency or perspective.

You are the same people who will attack his family or as in this case his "kids" and accuse them of being rock dumb.

I wish we were all as rock dumb as his kids we would all be a lot wealthier and more successful in life.

Its as ever interesting a typical tactic of liberals or anti Trumpers to launch vicious and petulant attacks on the friends and family of those they dislike.

No, that was funny, have a couple more. roflrofl
Btw. I’m not a liberal and I’m pretty sure you don’t know what it means without some help, if you know what I mean.
Has to be a wind up, just has to.
His kids are stupid btw, the eldest has the same amount of moral turpitude as his father i.e plenty.
And as for ‘so filled with rage and hatred towards Trump you have lost all sense of decency or perspective‘ well, excuse me, but bks. You have just described Trump in a nutshell. That is exactly how he is with anyone who is against him, an attack dog.
Defend the defendable, do not defend the indefensible.

And again rofl
Did you see/watch his campaign?
I mean, come on, don’t bring that absolute rubbish to the discussion.
You’re better than that, aren’t you?
