Stable genius speaking there. rolleyes
Perhaps the Middle East problem can be sorted the same way. Give them all loads more weapons and they will all leave each other alone.

It's all so clear now.

Cheers Don.

As we have discovered in the UK a ban on guns does not really do much to reduce gun crime, because it only really penalized law abiding, registered and responsible gun owners,( a lot like several other laws in the UK) whilst doing little or nothing towards keeping guns out of the hands of those who want to use guns for criminal activities.
I must be one of those people who have not discovered this?

From what I have read due to increased law enforcement statistically more crimes now are done with fake firearms because of

1. Real weapons harder to get.
2. Less penalties compared to using a real firearm.

Your counterpoint?

"Empathy" is completely lacking in Trump. He has not a single shred of humanity in his bones.
That is of course one of the classic psychopathic traits; fortunately, the genius pussy-grabber isn't anti-social with impaired remorse, nor is he bold and disinhibited - and certainly carries no egotistical traits....

His full 4 tweets were:

I never said “give teachers guns” like was stated on Fake News @CNN & @NBC. What I said was to look at the possibility of giving “concealed guns to gun adept teachers with military or special training experience - only the best. 20% of teachers, a lot, would now be able to

....immediately fire back if a savage sicko came to a school with bad intentions. Highly trained teachers would also serve as a deterrent to the cowards that do this. Far more assets at much less cost than guards. A “gun free” school is a magnet for bad people. ATTACKS WOULD END!

...History shows that a school shooting lasts, on average, 3 minutes. It takes police & first responders approximately 5 to 8 minutes to get to site of crime. Highly trained, gun adept, teachers/coaches would solve the problem instantly, before police arrive. GREAT DETERRENT!

....If a potential “sicko shooter” knows that a school has a large number of very weapons talented teachers (and others) who will be instantly shooting, the sicko will NEVER attack that school. Cowards won’t go there...problem solved. Must be offensive, defense alone won’t work!

So I never said give teachers guns, but we should give teachers guns....biggrin

and he followed that up with a 'many fine people' moment

What many people don’t understand, or don’t want to understand, is that Wayne, Chris and the folks who work so hard at the @NRA are Great People and Great American Patriots. They love our Country and will do the right thing. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

If someone who has clear ambition to kill (Mentally unstable or not) they will use whatever means necessary, be it guns, knives or trucks of peace as shown in previous incidents. Our capital currently has the highest murder rate in Europe does it not yet we have strict gun laws?

I saw a quote earlier which simply stated "the generation which had to be told to stop eating tide pods should not be the ones attacking and attempting to change the 2nd amendment".............Especially ones that are actors, Don't actually attend the school in question, forgets his script in a news interview and has an ex FBI agent as a father. If only the FBI was good at protecting schools as they are with Clinton/Obama.;)

Tin foil me up gents and please continue with the comical Anti-Drumfph bashing laugh

You can see how every time this debate kicks off it never reaches a conclusion such are the complexities of managing any action.

E.g. Unleash a more powerful Brady bill and incur the wrath of an unknown quantity of radicals in the mould of McVeigh - carnage ensues to an unknown conclusion.
Or:
Arm teachers and create an escalation in that space whereby kids go beyond Columbine levels of explosives competence and obliterate schools.

Being against people with mental health issues murdering children is nothing to do with being pro or anti-Trump.

And anyone who thinks it is needs to think hard about how they view the world.

And, how often have we had school massacres in the UK?
