I saw a quote earlier which simply stated "the generation which had to be told to stop eating tide pods should not be the ones attacking and attempting to change the 2nd amendment".............Especially ones that are actors, Don't actually attend the school in question, forgets his script in a news interview and has an ex FBI agent as a father. If only the FBI was good at protecting schools as they are with Clinton/Obama.;)

If someone who has clear ambition to kill (Mentally unstable or not) they will use whatever means necessary, be it guns, knives or trucks of peace as shown in previous incidents. Our capital currently has the highest murder rate in Europe does it not yet we have strict gun laws?
A quick Google suggests not...XslaneyX said:

You do realise that conspiracy theory has already been pretty comprehensively debunked, right? As an aside, I watched the Town Hall last night, and it can't have been an easy environment for either Rubio or the NRA spokeswoman to attend. they had no intention of listening though - they just push the same mental illness being the issue agenda.
The Florida sherriff who was also in attendance was quite right when he said the only solution is vote pro-gun politiciants out of office. There's no debate really, as seen by Trump's pro-NRA position. It'll only change if it hurts those politicians more than losing their lucrative financial arrangements.

How does our capital compare with any large city in the US?I saw a quote earlier which simply stated "the generation which had to be told to stop eating tide pods should not be the ones attacking and attempting to change the 2nd amendment".............Especially ones that are actors, Don't actually attend the school in question, forgets his script in a news interview and has an ex FBI agent as a father. Do you always agree with sweeping generalisations when it comes down to 'generational' issues? The founding fathers where of a generation that kept humans as slaves, slightly more widespread and serious than Tide tablets.

Florida is too busy declaring porn a public health risk to worry about the tiny little details like kids with fking assault rifles.Look, the American gun owning public are NEVER going to give up their guns. There are too many in circulation and very little record of who bought what/when to legislate gun ownership.
I don't and didn't agree with the knee jerk reaction to Dunblane that happened with gun ownership in the UK but at least the authorities "Knew" who owned what ("Legally", flawed though the system was) and where they kept it. In the US of A there seems to be no record.
By the way. Did you know that in the UK you can still own a 38 Magnum (together with many other pistols) as long as the barrel is 12 Inches long and the pistol has a total length of 24 Inches'?
Example here
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=gsg+pistol&s...
It's the "coat hanger" bit on the stock that extends the length to 24 inches.Ooooooohhhhhhh. Wouldn't that be easy saw off? Together with the extended muzzle? That would make it a very concealable weapon would it not?
I am ambivalent/undecided as to whether allowing people to "carry" (concealed or otherwise) would be a good move in any country. It would be interesting to hear how many "shootings" have been avoided by a member of the public drawing a weapon against an aggressor. Indeed how many would have the skill/presence of mind and or the willingness to be prepared to kill someone? Killing someone is what it amounts to. You do not draw a weapon to "scare" someone in that sort of situation.
I shot pistols, pre the ban, but I don't know if I would have the courage or ability to draw a gun on an aggressor.
We of course think we all could, but reality is a completely different world!
I certainly wouldn't wish to be a teacher "told" that I had to carry a gun to defend my pupils. That IMO is too much responsibility to put on a persons shoulders.
Just my thoughts.

Unless you have well trained armed guards all around the sites I'm not sure there's an answer.
Basically yeah, you'd have to turn US schools into airports, and throw hundreds of millions...billions? Into it...utter fking stupidity.problem to shootings....more guns and bullets

Just how far beyond reason is it, that a GoP fella considered doing a turnaround is to talk about smaller mag sizes, not to prevent occurrences, but to minimise how many people get killed at occurrences...https://www.politico.com/story/2018/02/21/marco-ru...
