FWIW I don't think Trump is an Evil nazi. he doesn't have the intellectual capacity to understand any complicated political ideology. However he understands populism and his narcissism craves it like a drug. And what he twigged several years ago was that there was a significant undercurrent of racism prevalent in the US looking for an outlet.

He hooked into this by pushing the "birther conspiracy". That's one of the things that makes him a pretty vile individual in my book - he stoked racism against Obama using a complete lie just to get the adulation from those who hated the fact that a black man was President but didn't want to expose their bigotry. Trump realised what his fanbase wanted and that's why the focus of his campaign was mexicans and muslims.

His fanbase didn't (and don't) give a flying fk about him not revealing his tax returns, or about him milking the public purse for his private benefit, or his sleazy attitude towards women, or his sucking up to dictators or his fking up the economy, or the several thousand blatant lies AS LONG AS HE KEEPS BASHING IMMIGRANTS AND FOREIGNERS.

And that's why the nazis love him.

To keep Davos happy, it should be pointed out that Dworkin worked on both Obamas campaign and s an ardent anti trump campaigner, often linked with the democratic campaign against trump. Again I weight this as low.

You didn't qualify it. Qualifying it would have been to say "this is a site that peddles consipracy theory nonsense on a regular basis, written by a woman who believes ISIL terrorist attacks are false flags". Just don't post fake news sites without being clear about it innit.

That's true and it's hard to deny that Trump is supported, at least in part, be Nazi groups but the poster Coyft was talking to said "a government that supports Nazi groups" (although Coyft's then misquoted that to flip it round for some reason).

No. And if you had read what I posted you'd realise I haven't done that. I clearly said that Trump isn't a neo-nazi. I think he has racist tendencies and the evidence to support that has been posted so often that it gets boring. However his pandering to the racist base is driven primarily from a need for adulation. And, yes, a big chunk of his supporters ARE racist..... but there's a difference between a "big chunk" and "everyone"... admittedly too subtle for some.

If you support Trump then you effectively either agree with, or are willing to turn a blind eye too, his bigoted, racist, and sexist attitude. In either case, that makes you morally bankrupt.

This effects everyone, you might not think so but it does. Are you married or have a girlfriend or even a daughter? How would you feel is you heard me talking about how i could "grab them by their pussy", even if it's just a boost to other sexist men? Seriously, think about it.

And whilst you can take a hard line on immigration, just remember that 99.9% of Americans are immigrant to their own country, and not that long ago either. Trump himself comes from a family who immigrated into the USA in 1885, which is just 133 years ago.

Sorry for the semantics but you mean "zero sympathy" I think. Empathy is the ability to understand somebody's position and feelings, I think Trump is pretty empathetic, certainly moreso than Clinton for example, who's lack of empathy made her unable to appeal to American voters - Trump was more effective at that.

What Trump definitely lacks is any sympathy whatsoever - that would be caring about the situation of others rather than just understanding.
