To be totally honest, I am optimistic about British business being successful despite the colour or shape of any particular politician.

I note: I would not be if those nutters Corbyn & McMad-the-Red got into power

When Brexit is complete (whatever the outcome) trading with the US and Trump (if still in power) as a standalone nation is going to be difficult if this trade war carries on.

Poor old Russia. Always getting the blame.

They are all happy to cry a river for some illegal gang banging Mexican babies getting locked up but when the Kremlin gets a rough rub. Nothing.

World gone mad I tells ya

Watched FRankie Boyle's programme this week, it had an except from Putin responding to a question from Fox news' Megan Kelly, saying roughly similar. It is a tad rich considering history.

The EU was created to make Germany very rich at the detriment to it's neighbours.

Of the 28 countries you mention, very few have 'economic might'....the second largest is about to leave. Despite Juncker, Tusk and the rest giving it the billy big bks, the U.S. could bring the EU to it's knees if it wanted to.

Using a Presidency to try and put someone out of business. Classy.

This makes no sense to me, please explain.
His position if obvious and does not need any explanation.
Thanks AreOut.

But entirely expected, sadly.

I hope the Streisand effect kicks in and the restaurant sees a boom.

OK, name one positive aspect. It can’t be difficult, so off you go....

If it was against the ethical code for Sanders to do that, then for the POTUS?
What happened to the ethics committee? Is this now open door?

Let's start with: we would not be sucked into a tariff war between Germany/France & USA ?

This'll be interesting...
The tarrifs imposed by trump are hurting US companies at the moment

Harley-Davidson have ammounced they are planning to move some manufacturing out of America in response to Europe’s new tariffs on motorcycle imports.

Harley-Davidson has just announced that the EU’s tariffs will have a serious impact on its business. The average tariffs on a Harley will rose to 31%, from 6% today, adding $2,200 to the average price of a motorcycle exported from the US to Europe.

Such a burden could make Harley’s uncompetitive in Europe.

So the company has decided it must shift production of motorcycles for EU destinations from the US to its international facilities to avoid the tariff burden

Mid Continent Nail Corporation imports steel wire from Mexico, so has seen prices surge to uncompetitive levels thanks to the 25% tariff on imports imposed by Trump earlier this year. The company has already laid off 60 temporary staff, and could axe another 200 by the end of July unless it gets a tariff exemption, quickly.

US lumber prices are up 32%
Whirlpool said the steel and aluminium tariffs would cost the company an extra $50m.

I could keep going, but of course trump said trade wars are easy to win.
