Would this be covered under voyeurism laws? Doesn’t seem right that two people have had their privacy violated, even if they were thick enough to do it at work by a window.
Hard to defend outraging public decency by having sex in the workplace by claiming vouyerism.

nothing wrong with work nookie - just maybe watch your flanks.

To be fair - I wouldn't fire either of them for that the first time.

'Laps' of judgement - but assuming it was 'lunch' - a warning would suffice.

If it was a home address I think it would be different legally, windows are for looking out of/not into and all that.

If they are both on tea break then really what’s the issue? Apart from not shutting the blinds which was a bit foolish...
Indeed.

If I think back to my work days before instant social media, this sort of thing wasn't in the least bit unusual, and no-one batted an eyelid, it was called 'life'.

He'd obviously been taking the bravery pills though if his missus works for them as well............. eek

indeed - even after social media............just be careful about it.

I dread to think what various security guards have witnessed in various places I've worked over the years (on CCTV).

Disabled toilets was always safest - plenty of space............no camera, lockable door.

Only risk is a genuinely wheel chair bound person waiting outside...........

edited to add - not necessarily me........just the goings on that have been witnessed.

particularly in late 90s, early 2000s in the trading type places.

Even I've been shocked walking into the bathroom (granted it was lunchtime)

I thought that too. From my reading of it I think you'd struggle to prove the 'for the purpose of sexual gratification' in these circumstances.

I can imagine after a legal consultation it'd end up being, "I filmed it to bring it to Tesco's attention".

Sexual offences act said:
Voyeurism

(1) A person commits an offence if—

(a) for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, he observes another person doing a private act, and

(b) he knows that the other person does not consent to being observed for his sexual gratification.

(2) A person commits an offence if—

(a) he operates equipment with the intention of enabling another person to observe, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, a third person (B) doing a private act, and

(b) he knows that B does not consent to his operating equipment with that intention.

(3) A person commits an offence if—

(a) he records another person (B) doing a private act,

(b) he does so with the intention that he or a third person will, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, look at an image of
B doing the act, and

(c) he knows that B does not consent to his recording the act with that intention.

(4) A person commits an offence if he instals equipment, or constructs or adapts a structure or part of a structure, with the intention of enabling himself or another person to commit an offence under subsection (1).

(5) A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable—

(a) on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum or both;

(b) on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years.

Reminds of the time when one of our directors got caught by the cleaners giving his young secretary some after hours dick-tation in his office as he had forgotten to lock the outer door in the heat of the moment.......and much sniggering and mickey taking ensured in the following weeks......

That was over 30 years ago though.........

As a manager and perhaps her manager I'd have thought he'd have better judgement and I'm sure Tesco would think that too. His partner also works for Tesco so he needs firing for being terminally fking stupid.

Because everyone is high fiving the bloke, and the girl would be hounded and get internet abuse, such is the way of these things.
Absolutely. The double-standards are fking awful in relation to situations like this. A bit silly from both of them, but I fear that she could potentially suffer more in the long run if her name gets out.
Really? He's lost a £50k+ a year job, a company smoker, a marriage to a woman earning the same, and will now be out on his ear in bedsit land with seventy quid a fortnight to tide him over.

The teenage girl got laid. That's what they do.

A Tesco fresh produce manager is on £50k+ and gets a company car AND a lunch break? Well it's no wonder there's a shortage of doctors in this country

Age gaps aren't that unusual, aside from the fact he is 35 and she is 19. My wife is 47 and I am 33! That said, I am not currently having the local blonde for lunch hehe
