Waaaay back in the day I worked as a young assistant manager for a well-known posh hotel chain.
Shagging the (willing and enthusiastic) student hotties who worked as part-time & seasonal food & beverage staff was considered a perk of the job. Fortunately, we had a plentiful supply of empty bedrooms in which to do so, and there was no such thing as smartphones or social media in those days...

The problem is that they did it somewhere where the public could see them. Aside from the criminal offence a couple of others have cited, employers are twitchy about their reputation and having 2 employees caught in flagrante harms that. There is then the potential employment law nightmare that could result from this, plus no doubt a few days of perfectly innocent Tesco staff getting utterly inappropriate comments from customers who are taking a break from learning to walk without scraping their knuckles.
The problem is that it's also entirely inappropriate for someone in a senior position to be getting it on with a young subordinate, even more so whilst on the premises!

Regardless he was stupid not only for doing at work with a 19 year old... once he dumped her what did he think she would do? She would get him in trouble at work or with is wife. The guy deserves it, he is married and he is a jerk. I don’t know why it seems he gets bonus points for being adulterous?? He is scum. If he wants to play don’t have a partner or girlfriend. Don’t get the kudos....
