Stormzy’s attack on TM, justified or not?

He’s playing to his target ordinance.
When did Teresa may call people who lived there savages?
I assumed he used the word "savages" because it rhymed with "damages"....When did Teresa may call people who lived there savages?
Which I suppose is quite clever.
But not at all correct.
It is sad to see how clingers on drum up faux outrage about how Teresa May has [not] called people savages, has [not] forgotten about Grenfell and has [not] stolen money etc.
Still, it's one of those topics where once people plant their flag on it, it's very hard to then have an objective discussion about whether they're "right" or "wrong", because it's just too emotive.
Did he do it just for publicity and to look "on message"? Or is there a justifiable concern that not enough is being done by local / national government to support Grenfell residents (and, by extension, the wider community and indeed anyone in social housing in London who feels hard done to)?
I don't know. It would be easier to tell if he maybe issued a press release, or did an interview (with a shirt on).
I'm sure Teresa May's office is affording Stomzy all the attention to which the situation merits.

Maybe she should challenge him to a rap battle and crush him with her spontaneous eloquence? Or perhaps not.
I'm going to hazard a guess that the demographic to whom he appeals are amongst the most politically disengaged people in the country with a large percentage of them also being too young to vote.

I watched it but didn’t understand one word of what he sang apart from the word Grenfell.
These chappies really need to learn how to enunciate.
Yes, what's that all about? These chappies really need to learn how to enunciate.
I switched electricity supplier a few years back after they promised me they would be cheaper, turns out they weren't. Was considering leaving and then some 'gangsta' phoned me from customer services. I could barely understand a word he said, thought it was Ali G.
I switched back to the original supplier straight afterwards - innit, liek.
Maybe, just maybe, he was influenced by stuff like the following.

I blame Brexit.
So does Damon Albarn. Apparently.I didn't know half of the "musicians" on the show.
It would have been much better if Liam Gallagher had punched Albarn squarely in the face to shut him up.
That's proper entertainment, that is. And Albarn is a tt. Always has been.

He is a bit of a bellend.
Know him well?I suggest you watch Blinded by your grace part2 where he has families & people from Grenfell on the video & has donated a fairly sizeable sum to the cause.
Do I think Theresa May is to blame of course I don't but do I think councillors have some serious questions to answer & they should have answers now not in one or two years time.
You may not like his music but he has a point.

Do you think we are all listening to the same thing?
Regardless of whether justified (I think TM was just cited as the 'establishment' figurehead rather than in a literal sense), it seemed pretty coherent to me, if delivered in a style I don't prefer for communication (or musically either but the percussion and timing was impressive).
I quite like that youth culture always finds a forcefully critical voice against the powers that be. Can only be healthy and it's clearly been effective in terms of getting attention for a cause I suspect he's pretty passionate about, so probably not a hired gun.

Quite clever you say? I say divisisive and dangerous. How many urban youths listening to this think she did call them savages and owe them money and are criminals. A small minority probably but I’d bet there are a few. Which I suppose is quite clever.

I’m sure it will help everybody live together in peace and not cause riots or anything.

Tories really need to get amongst the social media propaganda & catch up with the times.
I do not think they do, some youth rebel against the way of things, right now sjw,pc etc is the way things are.Look at places like 4chan and things like gamer gate etc. The youth or at least not all of them seem to be rebelling in their own way.
