Track Day Insurance
Discussion
I've used REIS previously.
Absolutely professional, easily understood terms/conditions, does what it says on the tin....However, reckon on paying 10% of the sum insured - i.e. if you value car at £15K, it'll cost you £150.
UNDER no circumstances be tempted by an outfit trading as Morris/Moris...Mates had bad experience with this enterprise!!

REIS or Adrian Flux.
Who provided you with 3rd party track day cover??

Classic Line includes it in my TVR policy.
It does add to the premium, but you get a set number of track days per year, 5 in my case.
Beyond that they charge just over £50 per track day.
It pays up to 90% of the value of YOUR car. It is NOT third party insurance - that is their lookout, regardless of fault.
I have been lucky so far - my indiscretions have not involved hitting anything, and nobody has hit me.
But I have seen an over-exuberant BMW M3 rolled at Bedford, and a Lotus Exige become the innocent victim of a total idiot in a Rover 75 at Cadwell Park (who on earth would dream of trying an overtake at speed in the Hall Bends Hairpin?). Here it is from his car..... plonker
So, like house insurance, it's worth having just in case the worst happens.

Quite a story last year on the track day forum of someone being collected on a bend by the last of the late brakers who took him out big time with some serious damage. From memory a 1 series BMW. Nothing to do with them, just collected by a very careless driver.
Or you could just have one of those bad days
Always worth track day insurance

Intrigued by this as I've used MORIS previously. Had no issues at all with taking out and arranging cover, and the pricing seemed reasonable (perhaps the first warning sign) but I've luckily not had to claim so not had a true representation of their service.Gassing Station | General TVR Stuff & Gossip | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
