Incredibly stiff sentencing. This really does send a message and I'm actually very impressed with the court in this regard. They deserved no favours and this is justice.

It certainly is. Given how stiffly financial fraud seems to be dealt with by the courts, could it be the insurance angle that has led to the particularly long sentences?

I would hope the severity of the sentence is due to the 5 people they killed as opposed to the insurance fraud.
