Some utter mentalists (from the UK!) on the radio this morning calling it all fake still and blaming our government - doctored photos, hired actors etc etc
What world do these idiots live in? It must be insane.
Not impossible. What world do these idiots live in? It must be insane.
They had to produce something to back up all the action taken against Russia.

Whilst poo's statements are doubtless true, they are as irrelevant as they are unpleasant. What we have here is a largely unprecedented international event where a major world power has used a weapon of mass destruction against another major world power. That the reaction to entirely innocent third-parties caught up in these events is 'yeah well, they were druggies anyway so it's their fault', is quite frankly disgusting.

I don't think Wells is remotely clever in posting this garbage. https://twitter.com/ByTomWells/status/103729695799...
I came back to the thread to a ask whether anyone still has doubts as to the UK Governments assertions.

Agreed, it is essentially making a moral judgement about what kind of lifestyle one should lead and be 'conformist' for whatever the hell that means. The moral equivalent of saying is a young lady goes clubbing and walks home later at night then she is putting herself at risk or ... asking for it... after all if she was more conformist and at home at 10pm with hot chocolate and a Mills and Boon novel she wouldn't have been raped and murdered. Indeed. But the photos have already been enough to set a load of nutters off. Just look at the comments under the Sky/BBC news articles on social media.

Whatever your state of health spraying a nerve agent on the inside of your wrist then sniffing it is a death sentence imho. This stuff was intended to kill, not disable.eharding said:

What I would say about the images released is that they are remarkably clear when compared to all the garbage images we see of suspects on the likes of crime watch. They probably have a lot more photos that are less clear, that should also have been released. because if you were setting up a fake cover story for all this, that's what the photos would look like. Its like someone took screen grabs from Sky1's latest TV show.....

The photos are not even identical.
The perspective in each photo is different.
In the photo of Boshirov the entry gate appears vertical as the camera appears to be mounted more centrally in the booth.
If you compare the two, where the edges of the panelling intersect the edges of the image is different.
Different photos of different people taken in different booths.
If "they" wanted to push some false images, I doubt "they" would be so stupid to publish them with the same time stamp.
I guess "they" are not the stupid ones.

Not to mention different scuff marks on the camera lens / domeThe perspective in each photo is different.

The broader point is that without detailed knowledge of how novichok interacts with a subject (which I’m assuming you don’t have), it’s hard to know how much of the damage was done by novichok and how much by his lifestyle.
Given that, more polite people are inclined to give the benefit of the doubt, particularly when Russian agents are running around the UK with nerve agents, and place the blame at the Kremlin’s door.
You’ve chosen a more sneering and supercilious tack, preferring instead to point out that you recovered from meningitis and that you wouldn’t be caught picking up perfume found in the street.
Mission accomplished though-I’m quite sure nobody here thinks you’re a down at heel alcoholic.
