Well, yes. That’s what I’m saying. It’s strange. Is there a joke I’m missing where you’re pretending to be his dad or something?
No joke missed, son is just a common form of address, akin to pal, mate etc.Used more amongst working class families, and as an Hackney born lad, it's a term
I heard , and still hear a lot.
I'm really suprised that I need to explain it's use tbh, I imagined it was
a widely used term.

I suppose the success of the proposed brexit, depends upon the success of heritage Britain on the world stage
In reality the idyllic past of Morris Minor convertibles & 60s London is but a distant dream.
Can such a vision be resurrected? Is it enough to improve on what we have now?
Very doubtful, but entertaining (comedy gold) to the unaffected bystander
(An EU passport holder the same as St Nigel’s family & better off financially due to Brexit (like Nige & Boris & the rest or those, that will gain at the expense of the archetypal Brexit voter..)
Ah the archetypal brexit voter so over 55, no degree as only one in eight went to uni at the time. Own a property outright. Either retired with an index linked pension or earning good money and living in the south east or south west. Yes we are really struggling because of brexit In reality the idyllic past of Morris Minor convertibles & 60s London is but a distant dream.

Do you always talk though your arse ,or do you give your mouth a go sometimes ??? In reality the idyllic past of Morris Minor convertibles & 60s London is but a distant dream.

You might be better off looking at the details of our economy than drinking the plonk in Torremolinos....(An EU passport holder the same as St Nigel’s family & better off financially due to Brexit (like Nige & Boris & the rest or those, that will gain at the expense of the archetypal Brexit voter..)...
The UK has its challenges, but it is still a very powerful economy in its own right, and is heavily consumerist. From a trading perspective it has quite a bit more to offer than Morris Minors and dewy eyed visions of the past....
Other areas of the UK's influence globally are still pretty strong too.
This despite part of its population having a somewhat snidey, sneering impression of itself against other parts of its own population.
