Where are the legal funds coming from for all the high court etc appeals?
Could this money and care money be used better looking after people with good prognosis?
The appeal today focuses on providing long term care with no Target of improving his health. What is the point of this?
With the advances of health care along with crowd etc funding you've got a perfect storm of keeping people alive when the quality of life or cognitive outcome is zero. It's purely emotional for the parents avoiding grief.

Mr Evans latest level headed quote:
"Mr Evans was reported as saying: "Both Kate and I had to give him mouth to mouth resuscitation to keep him alive because his lips turned blue.
"We were doing what a nurse should have been doing to sustain his life.”
No insinuations there then.
But surely it actually reinforces the hospital doctors views. If he has to have regular repeated mouth to mouth to survive then surely the poor chap is not actually capable of living normally ?

The courts have decided that life sustaining treatment is not in the child's interests, and it is unlawful to provide it."Mr Evans was reported as saying: "Both Kate and I had to give him mouth to mouth resuscitation to keep him alive because his lips turned blue.

Does that not extend to the parents as well as the hospital?

I really do think everybody should read the full judgement from page 1(?) as it pretty much covers most of the arguments even now; there is a reason no Appeal has been successful. There is a reason why the Supreme Court didn't overturn anything - there is (in turn) a reason why Euro Courts didn't get involved at all!!! They read the evidence and scientific stuff. And more importantly, they understood it!!
No brain tissue 'regenerates' when effectively mush. This isn't an episode of Dr Who and I am not being flippant.
I really do despair at the absolute refusal of people to believe overwhelming evidence despite there being the odd 'miracle'? And that is from someone who was dragged to visit the Shrine at Knock over the weekend

The mother has been strangely quiet recently.
Has she accepted the doctors diagnosis while the father wants to cause trouble and make some cash?
The rumours are far worse... Has she accepted the doctors diagnosis while the father wants to cause trouble and make some cash?
Reports of very domineering and controlling behaviour (some alleging moving into an element of physical domination).
Rumours of drug taking in the hospital, furniture being removed from vicinity due to how it's been used as barricades and more.
Etc.
I can't help but think that the hospital, police and press are being very careful whilst Alfie is alive to avoid backlash.

Sorry for the Facebook link, and I’ve not managed to sit through the whole video as it is so crammed full of misinterpretation and supposition, it really beggars belief.

Just reading some that, I'm dumbfounded.
I don't use Twitter or Facebook or Instagram.
The words used about the hospital staff... Murderers, executioners, killers, monsters...
One said there is a secret state sponsored euthanasia programme in hospitals to do away with sick and disabled children.
Utterly mind boggling.

I saw the coverage of them blockading the road outside the hospital, and attacking cars that were trying to get past. I feel for the parents of other children at the hospital, as well as the staff, who probably feel quite threatened by the mob outside.
To be honest, I do feel that they should be allowed to take him abroad if they feel that’s the best choice. The U.K. medical system has already decided there’s little that can be done, so what’s the harm in letting him go on the basis that it is acknowledged as at the risk of the parents?
I guess the trouble is that when you have cases like Ashya King, parents will understandably question the decisions of the professionals.

A quick bit of Googling indicates he’s a “pro life” Roman Catholic, which would explain the tweet.
He was also a barrister. Clearly doesnt help him read court judgementsWobbegong said:

They want to keep him on life support indefinitely. To be honest, I do feel that they should be allowed to take him abroad if they feel that’s the best choice.
