Alder Hey open letter, explaining the abuse their staff have been put through

I've seen somewhere that the police are now looking at social media comments and abuse.
Facebook post from Merseyside Police, regarding social media and potential offences/prosecutions.http://www.alderhey.nhs.uk/open-letter-chairman-ch...

Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, read the comments. Your brain will explode.

Reading those Facebook comments is like a descent into hell.
A medic friend of mine equated it to him being like a TV - the thing has broken, there's no signal, it's all gone black, just the standby light remains but it will never switch on.
The only light relief is Americans with the IQ of porridge trying to understand the government and the judiciary are separate, the NHS is free at the point of need and the Queen does not have a hotline to the Pope when things get tricky.

Still, I think we can all agree that the only thing Michael Gove is an expert at is being an utterly obnoxious and odious individual, surely?
Oh I don't know, I bumped into him recently outside parliament square - he seemed quite an affable chap...As Environment Secretary, I think he has got a job he's better suited to, and I don't mind him now.

Oh god - the responses alluding to 'medical kidnapping'. Just when you thought things can't get much worse.... Biker 1 said:

That’s nothing compared to the crack pots saying he’s been used for drug testing and they needs him to die now to to an autopsy and check the effects of the drugs... DanielSan said:

That seems like a complete slam dunk to me? Again, everybody should read these in full as no base is left unturned or uncovered....What I would love is for one of the journalists to ask one of the members of Alfie's Army who is adamant that the Alder Hey doctors know nothing "Let's say you are seriously ill. Do you (a) go to a trained doctor for help; or (b) this random person in the Juicy Couture leisure suit vaping next to you who's read a few Facebook posts?"
Quite a disgraceful point to arrive at if the article is as reported:

You will be there all day waiting for an intelligent answer. They are labour voters. The dad is apparently launching legal action against the three doctors who treated Alfie.
His son gets 16 months of what is likely to be the best care this country has to offer, in a state of the art children's hospital - and he (and the 'army') goes and sticks two fingers up at it.
Who is betting these are the same people bhing about the state of the NHS on Facebook/twitter and blaming the Tories. They need to take a long hard look in the mirror.

And like it will go anywhere!
It's not the point - the fact he's even contemplating it is ludicrous and disrespectful. A massive kick in the teeth for the staff at Alder Hey who have probably done all they can to diagnose, treat and ultimately make his son's final days/hours as comfortable as possible.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
