You must have failed your equity and trusts exam. There is (a few presently immaterial exceptions apart) no such thing as a non-charitable purpose trust.

There will be a candle lighting event to mark what would have been the boys 2nd birthday. Its being held at at a park near the hospital.

Not connected with the above.

I have an awful lot to do with the disabled community/world within my profession.

I'm aware of a child's family being granted some charity money for the little girl. (no specifics here).

In my mind, this would be for specialist equipment, education, specialist clothing, adaptations et al.

They're taking a well deserved holiday to Ibiza with it.

The child wouldn't know if she was in Filey, Venus, Goa or Brighton.

Shame I'm busy that night.

What night is it being held?

Thanks to the thoughtfulness of some You Tubers you can share the experience.
People like this fine woman have taken the time to tear themselves away from posting their usual crap to share this with people

Now that the Alder Hay hospital vigilantes have decided not to storm the hospital and have stood down, what are they doing to fill their days?

Find some other ill-informed social media cause to make a nuisance of themselves with.

Plenty of the grief tourists out in force at the funeral today, crying their eyes out. Probably much the same as they were doing at Diana's funeral. Not one photo of Alfies mum and dad together mind, odd, as this is a predicament which makes most couples pull together. Sarah had a miscarriage a few months ago, it made us tighter. Had it been a living breathing child, god I'd pull us in as a team. Maybe she's seen that it's all about him, and not her or their son.

I always got the impression it was all about daddy. She was just the woman who gave birth to him. Daddy had all Alfies future life mapped out.

It's fortunate that all the people who lined the route were able to take a day's annual leave from work, at such short notice, to pay their respects.

The flowers thrown across the bonnet's of the cars: it reminded me of when the Princess of Hearts was taken from us so young. And Jade Goody too.

Indeed. CERN must have been like a ghost town, I suspect they must've shut down the large hadron collider for the day.

It was pretty telling that at the later stages of the court cases the to parents had a different set of legal representation.

I think the writing is on the wall for these two....

I'm not sure that's always true to be honest - in the short term maybe, but longer term things like a heavily disabled child or child bereavement can have a detrimental effect on relationships. We went through both and over time it created stress, blame and resentment. Not healthy emotions for a stable relationship.

You can say what you want about the way it all played out & the decisions that they made.

But you wouldn't wish the situation on anyone. Reading his comments and the impact / effect it had on them is tough.
