Three killed after being hit by a train in London.

Anybody care to retract their ill judged comments about "promising footballers" and assumptions that the young men killed were barely literate moped thieves yet?

Sort of if I am being honest, it is easier to feel less sympathy when they are local louts with no hope of a productive future, less so when at least one of them comes from a decent background & proper family (or so it looks from the Media). https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-44534...
I am still hardened by the fact they were trespassing, vandalising and kids half their age know full well trains are dangerous. Their social circle turning up & spraying RIP/tagging on some poor buggers shutter doors/brick work 'in memory', or swearing all over social media at people pointing out the facts (criminals, criminal act, not artists etc) does little to improve my views on it all.
Getting all angry about three dead youngsters. It doesn't matter because they painted on walls. In fact they're scum for doing it so their death is only something to be laughed at. Show your kids what you've written and explain to them what you think. Clever words on the internet. Big men.
They were stupid, but they're someones kids. You never did stupid things?
If it were yours you'd be vomiting in grief.

I have no doubt their families are suffering now which is sad. I am also in agreement they did not deserve to die. Yet I find myself agreeing with the silly games stupid prizes train of thought. They were stupid, but they're someones kids. You never did stupid things?

Also they are being refered to as kids but were infact adult men. With the freedoms of adulthood comes responsibility

As stated previously - stupidity is stupidity and with it come consequences just as with age comes greater responsibility.
I think it is entirely possible to recognise these things, show some compassion and not take to the internet spouting drivel about “scum”.

There death was their own fault but they did not deserve to die.
While not wiishing death on anyone, if someone's going to put themselves in danger and they die, what can you say?

Why do people say this? A stupid tt or complete ahole in life can't be absolved from having been a stupid tt or complete ahole just because they've started pining for the fjords, especially not if their death was a direct result of their cretinism.
I could mention Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Fred West and Ian Brady right now. Was Hitler just 'misunderstood', a 'promising artist'?
Why should thetoxicnerve go around saying his granny was a slag when she probably wasn't? We have some pretty substantial evidence from the news report that the three deceased were criminal scumbags.
By the way, you can call me what you like when I'm dead and buried. I expect I'll be rather too preoccupied with the business of being dead to take much notice.
You got issues pal, in your book speeding is the same as Hitler killing millions of people.... are you brain dead ? I could mention Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Fred West and Ian Brady right now. Was Hitler just 'misunderstood', a 'promising artist'?

We, in general, have become numb to death. Until we ourselves experience it first hand with our family members. Then it hits home.
Its easy to have a joke about it with a bunch of nobodies on the internet to earn some 'lols'. End of the day, they are somebodies son, grandsons and brothers. Those of us who have had children can understand how precious they are so my thoughts go out to their family members at this difficult time.

Sorry, people who vandalise property are scum, regardless of whether they are alive, dead or somewhere in between. These people (and they're not kids) appear to have been engaging in antisocial activity over a period of time. That costs money, inconveniences people, and puts other people's lives at risk when they have to clean up after them. As stated previously - stupidity is stupidity and with it come consequences just as with age comes greater responsibility.

Clearly from their families POV, it's all terrible. From the POV of everyone else, there are three fewer people vandalising the railway today.

Exactly, what can you say?https://www.thesun.co.uk/living/3375168/rooftoppin...
It's the same as any sport or hobby that carries a risk of injury or death.
Rugby, skiing, scuba diving, BASE jumping etc.
If someone wishes to risk their life for their hobby then you've just got to let them get on with it.
I'm a big fan of the 'work' of Urban Explorers, who produce often stunning and incredible photographs from the most dangerous of environments. Many of them have been killed, but it's what they enjoy.

it seems we are reaching a middle ground here finally. Yes its sad yes they were stupid.

Which is pretty much how the law will see it too. Death by misadventure or some such. There death was their own fault but they did not deserve to die.
They were trespassing to commit a criminal act (vandalism) but in no way did they 'deserve to die' any more than the rail authorities can be held responsible for their demise.

Very sad for young people to lose their lives.
I'm one of these people that considers graffiti to be a fairly harmless pastime, and more than that I really like it as an art form.
Style Wars is one of my favourite documentaries of all time. One of the greatest opening sequences to such a film, ever.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EW22LzSaJA
"New York City, 1982"
I will add that I do subscribe to the 'Broken Windows' theory of crime in urban areas, and I accept that Graffiti is a contributor, but nevertheless I cannot help but stare in wonder at some of the pieces I see.
I guess it’s a bit like, “one man’s freedom fighter, is another man’s terrorist.”I'm one of these people that considers graffiti to be a fairly harmless pastime, and more than that I really like it as an art form.

For thirteen months in 1980-1981, I practically ‘lived’ in New York City, going back to London for a week or two to make some dough, then back again.
My time was spent crashing in friends apartments, mainly in three locations, 113th and Amsterdam, 23rd and 6th, and Rockaway, Canarsie, out near JFK.
My friends there were airline mechanics, recent law school graduates, employees of MTA, (akin to TFL), a paediatrician, and mature college students.
To a man and woman, they were ashamed of the condition of the interior and exterior of the Transit Authority subway cars, buses, and stations.
I didn’t watch much of the YouTube vid, Style Wars, I turned it off after Bernie the Transit cop, said, “I’m not an art critic, but I know that the graffiti on that car, (subway coach), is a crime.”
I just thought, “Me and you both Bernie.”
