Art is BB dancing. That takes skill, fitness and long hours. I've been to a few world championship competitions.

Cartoon style drawing doesn't.

I only really worry about the opinions of people who I respect, and anyone who thinks tagging and graffiti is art or in some way OK really does not deserve any respect.

i think most ( having read your posts on the cannabis threads, possibly not you) would agree art is subjective. while i don't get basic graffiti "art" i can understand how others might.i certainly don't agree with vandalising others property and no matter the quality of the "art", that is what graffiti is.

Some may think the odd image could be described as art, but that illustrates (!) their lack of culture. They could buy a comic and get a story as well. That's their opinion though. What is so tragic about all this is the superficial nature of the purpose behind what these kids were doing - they just wanted street cred for getting their names up on a girder. How sad is your life that you'd risk everything to write your name on a wall?
