Wow, you're much older than your opinions suggest!

I stood in the forests in the 80s too, and stopped going in the 90s when they started getting picky about where they would let spectators go. The MSA event licence gave the competing drivers some immunity from the consequences of injuring "stupid" spectators.

There's no upside to what he's doing in the video besides the thrill of the moment, and massive potential downside that will ruin his life and that of others. It's a bit like watching someone cliff dive into not quite enough water.

There must be a much more constructive outlet for this guy's obvious skills

God that was actually thoroughly enjoyable to watch, guy knows that car's balance very well. Agree that they should have probably found a car park that was not in use, as that Asda looked like it was still in operation. At least find a top floor somewhere in an NCP that no one will go to at midnight.

I imagine part of the appeal of that car park is that it is free, and the layout of the concrete pillars obviously lends itself to that kind of tom foolery. I am surprised the don't just put some railings in those gaps if this is a regular occurence

i would like to see the equivalent of public skateboard parks set up for people to cater for both cars and bikes. zero liability enter at your own risk type places. look at the crowd there, a load of young people that could be doing many other things,some not so innocuous. young folk will always find somewhere to carry on like this and crowds will always gather to watch, at least if it occurs in known locations on the occasions carnage occurs it can be dealt with a bit more efficiently.

yes i know there are track days and drift events. not everyone wants to go that route or can afford it. just telling people they can't do things generally doesn't work either.
