Yes it's wrong and probably illegal and a bit dangerous. However part of me thinks "good on them", they are petrol heads meeting each other and doing something that looks fun / exiting.

I'd hope that most people on here in their youth went to an empty car park late at night to practice handbrake turns, etc wink

Sorry, just a figure of speech.

By 'kids' I mean young people in their late teens/early 20's.

Yes, we should all know better, but sometimes when we are younger we just love doing silly things because it's fun.

No one at that car park is intentionally causing any harm, apart from to their own cars, and that's their choice.

I can't really argue with that I suppose, I just hope we don't see a headline a few months down the line saying "Innocent bystander dies at Asda Drifting location" !

True, that could indeed be possible.

But usually these things are carried out well after the last shop has shut and there isn't anyone around, precisely so that no one complains and calls the police.

The crowd watching could be classed the same as those that go to watch rallying and suchlike. They know the risks but still want to stand and watch.

I've been one of them on many occasions!
