This thread illustrates everything which is sick and twisted about N,P&E. The introduction of race/islam early into the thread and then some perverse inverted virtue signalling, i.e. how much punishment can we inflict on the accused?
Well, if he has done it, what would you like to see happen to him? At 16, it's most likely he has contributed absolutely nothing to our society and if he has done this, it's likely he wont contribute the slightest thing going forward.
We don't have the death penalty, of course, but I can quite understand that people think perpetrators of such crimes should be wiped off the face of the planet.

Agreed. This is a terrible crime, but there are some very unpleasant, sad people out there, some posting on this N,P&E forumEdited by MC Bodge on Saturday 7th July 20:11

Indeed, two of you since 7.30pm.Such a shame the priority seems to be card throwing, name calling, poor attempts at intellectual chest pumping and yet for the first few pages,as has been mentioned, not one hint of sympathy from these liberal masterminds for the poor little girl, what she must have gone through and what her family is currently going through.
Nope, the liberal keyword alarm went off and the usual forum heros like slasher slap or whatever the account calls itself pops up to tell everyone what they were saying, what they meant, what they should say and how it could be explained to them if needed, all with out a single mention of the tragic subject. All too common on this part of PH, how it must be to feel your opinion is more important than this dreadful crime. Nice back peddling in recent pages though after it was mentioned, as quoted above.
Actually on subject, I hope they do a good job on the sentencing at the end of all this. I cannot imagine how you try to carry on from this as a family, and if it is this 16 year old lad then I expect further questions will be raised about how someone so young could do this??
Liberal hypocrisy yawn fest incoming, night night.

It's an absolutely appalling thing to happen. Who would deny that? Lynch mob mentality and accusing minorities with no basis and for no reason are both extremely unpleasant. Who would deny that?
Anybody who uses "liberal" as a pejorative term is a bit odd.
Jumping to the conclusion that it was probably an immigrant was horrible prejudice.
People who commit crimes like this deserve all of the horrors people wish upon them. Personally, though, I don’t want to be part of a society which debases itself by inflicting them.
For those who do wish to hang teenagers, have I got a country for you - Iran.

Anyone with a child would understand the desire to see the person who did this suffer
Or maybe they should be sent on a safari as they didn't have a very good childhood
I'm a father. This was a horrible crime.Or maybe they should be sent on a safari as they didn't have a very good childhood
I do not, however, subscribe to the Old Testament, "an eye for an eye", lynch mob mentality.

A big boy mystery woman who left no forensic traces did it and ran away. What an original and compelling defence.
So if you google the woman he's blamed (named in the BBC story as Toni Louise McLachlan), amongst other stories this old one about the Alesha case comes up:https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5916837/P...
In that story she is described as the girlfriend of Alesha's father. But she isn't Alesha's mother, she's called Georgina Lochrane.
Sounds like a grim situation all round. Poor Alesha innocent victim in the middle of everyone else's war.
So Alesha's father was a drug dealer, who sold cannabis to the accused;
