It was mentioned that Luke Mitchell, another teenage killer, only got 20 years so that was the reason for reduction
Did anyone consider that Mitchell got too little & 27 years was right? This POS raped & killed a SIX year old FFS

I think someone will take care of him long before there is any chance of release.

Even though he got a reduction, which is scandalous. To be freed he will still have to prove to the parole board that he is fit for release. Prisoners very seldom are released at their first parole hearing. So the likelihood is that this reduction will be a paperwork exercise.

Doesn't seem to happen very often, I wouldn't bet on it.

Once again, the judiciary are found to be treating the public with utter contempt.

I quote my previous post on this. Now words fail me on our legal system, a number of experts have said he seems unable to change and is therefore highly likely to commit similar offences on release. Lets just hope the parole system is more robust than our clearly inept justice system and he remains inside for all of his life.

Hopefully not. If the Lockerbie bomber got out on compassion then I hate to think of this getting out. Besides, 24+ years of watching his life wasting away is better than a quick escape.

Your namesake should have got your username number in years, still wouldnt be enough. Pure evil that the taxpayer shouldn't have to be funding, a nice wee injection would save us a few bob and put him where he belongs.

What dreadful thing do you think I did to merit getting bone cancer?

Say it takes 2/3/4 goes. He’ll still be out a few years sooner surely

Honestly, cases like this, what’s the point of his life now. Hopefully he sees sense and tops himself

Would you like Robert Thompson to top himself?

No, Do you think if you get your parole knocked back one week you can try again the next? It does not work like that, there will be conditions that will have to be met, as in courses and programmes to be attended and completed along with reports to be compiled by all who has dealings with him. If you don't participate, you basically don't get out.
Between a refusal and your next hearing could be 1 year minimum.

Sadly, misfortune is seldom just and karma is wishful thinking.

In the interests of avoiding a similar faux pas, can I just check that nobody here has ever defecated a hedgehog?

Damn right he should've. With a bit of luck, a lifer will do his part to save the tax payer some money. I don't think I'd feel sympathy if I heard on the news tomorrow that he'd had his head eaten out with a spoon.
