Donald J. Trump
Verified account @realDonaldTrump
The local politicians who run Washington, D.C. (poorly) know a windfall when they see it. When asked to give us a price for holding a great celebratory military parade, they wanted a number so ridiculously high that I cancelled it. Never let someone hold you up! I will instead...

Yup, I’m Muriel Bowser, mayor of Washington DC, the local politician who finally got thru to the reality star in the White House with the realities ($21.6M) of parades/events/demonstrations in Trump America (sad).

Good.

I just thought that the quote was appropriate to the behaviour of the current incumbent of the White House and his team of reprobates.

It wasn't an endoresment of Oliver Cromwell and all the terrible things he did - both in England and Ireland.
Eric, that quote would fit very nicely with Blair and his bunch of crooks who virtually bankrupted UK plc not to mention Iraq and Afghanistan.

On the news yesterday the US economy up by 4.1% growth and rates going well also, credit where credit is due to uncle Donald some on here have a terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Wage growth has stagnated over the past two years. 4.1% economy growth will mean nothing to a voter if their salary isn't also rising. Inflation is rising as well so any wage growth is being eaten away by cost of living rises.

Still the economy is on track for growth this year (as long as the trade war doesn't start to bite).

You can tell the calibre of a man by what other high-calibre individuals think about him.

If this isn't a ringing endorsement, I don't know what is:

My experience of the family is that they are courteous, well-mannered, respectful and intelligent individuals who each add considerable weight and authority to the Trump Org. On one occasion when I was in NYC on holiday I let Donald know I would be over and we met with his family and he hosted my wife Fiona and me to a lovely day in New York discussing with his children the business and life in general. They were a well-balanced, contented, happy family and I think that more than most impressed me about the quality of the man. You can tell a lot about a man by his family and friends. If he brings that human management skill to the White House it will be a better place .

Great, I guess this is the new buzzword for people of a certain persuasion - like "cuck" was a year or two back. I look forward to it being repeated to death for the next six months.

As an aside, yes, the economy is doing well. It'll be interesting in a year or two to see what direction the general trends go in terms of the major economic indicators. I suspect many of the impacts of everything that is happening will only be fully understood with hindsight.

Truly baffling stuff here.

Let’s assume, even though it is extremely questionable, that trump is always entirely responsible for any positive economic news we hear.

Does that then that it is not permitted to discuss his collusion, racism, constant lying, etc?

I am genuinely looking for an answer here from you. It would be pretty lame if you dive in and say ’trump derangement syndrome’ and are not able to back up your curious accusation.

Yes.Let's be positive,as long as it continues and he can improve Americans lives i'm not too concerned about much else.

TDS - It is his way of quieting the liberal loons who shout loud but have nothing positive to add, like the UK left who scream racist if you ask the wrong(right) question, these people need to be told to go away as they have done far more damage than uncle Donald has.(New Labour etc.)

To me "Trump Derangement Syndrome" sounds like Trump has gone so far off the reservation they've had to name a disorder after him.

Ohhhhh, I've missed some news!!!!!!

On a side-note, I got an odd feeling that Manfort might get off, just basing it on the questions the Jury have asked the Judge.

Are these 13 former senior intelligence officials all suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome I wonder?

https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2018/08/the-na...

Another unprecedented event in the Trump presidency, publicly criticised by leaders in the intelligence community from the past several decades.

Or are they just a bunch of lefty SJWs who need to learn how to shut up? So hard to know these days.

Has anyone seen any informed commentary on the notion I saw earlier today regarding revocation of security clearances from the likes of Comey, Strzok, etc? The notion being that if they all have their clearances revoked they won't be able to give evidence against Trump as they won't be allowed to discuss privileged information, or words to that effect.

But could they give evidence on documents they had previously handled or discussed?

Do you believe Obama was personally responsible for the things he did?

Collusion- could go either way.

Lying- yes they all do it.

Racism-Obama deported more people than President Trump.

He's a long way from perfect but the economy is a priority and moving in the right direction,i just hope he wins a second term and can complete his mission before the frothers take over, lets wait and see.

‘Do you believe Obama was personally responsible for the things he did?’

I am not quite sure what you mean by this question? Are you then saying that you, in fact, do not hold trump responsible for any positive economic figures? To answer your actual question, yes, I think Obama (along with others, obviously) did an amazing job with the economy they inherited. A staggering job, actually, considering how terrible things were in 2008.

Collusion could go either way?

Um.......Pretty clear which way.

‘Lying- yes they all do it.’

I am not sure if you can be serious with this? Are you able to comprehend there is a difference between a politician taking a bit of a liberty here and there to help make a point, and trump, who lies pathologically and constantly?

‘’Racism-Obama deported more people than President Trump.'

Again, it is quite hard to tell if this is also a wind-up? What point are you even trying to make here? You seem really confused about a lot of stuff.

We've got another poster that won't engage on anything substantive but just trots out stuff about annoying the libtards.

I guess we were overdue a new one, but still, given (s)he won't engage in a meaningful way, I'm going down the route of not bothering.

I'll stick with the "frothing" ones who condemn Trump and ignore this goon on PH.

TDS : Being so narcissistic, you've managed to educate the whole world in how to spot a narcissist.

Obviously there will alway be one or two exceptions to such generalistations. wink

Don’t fret. He’ll get bored and go back to his prostitutes, err, escorts, soon.

The military parade is a paradigm Trumpism. Have a self evidently bad idea, then when all and sundry point out just how st an idea it is, lash out blaming those people for blocking it.

Idiot. In any proper working environment clots like Trump get found out really fast. But give that clot a ton of money and no one to answer to, and here’s what happens.

What cracks me up (the only alternative is holding your head in despair) is the impression is that Trump got the idea of the parade from seeing the Bastille Day parade in Paris and deciding America could do it better. Or is that biglier? The man is just such an unbelievably colossal prick.
