This is really interesting news from yesterday. Trumps lawyer mcgahn has been fully cooperating with Mueller.
Trump has treated he allowed it, with poor spelling again, and of course adding no collusion.
Mcgahn and his lawyers (lawyers for the lawyers?) feared trump was setting them up to take the blame for the obstruction so they have been fully cooperating, including insights and information mueller wouldn't have got otherwise.

How trump tried to take control of the investigation into himself, how he flies into rages,
Exactly what was discussed during key moments of the obstruction.

DOJ lawyers are trying to stop trumps hotel finances being revealed, claiming it would a distraction to trump. There are being asked for as part of an emoluments challenge to him

This is as trump's is on his 191st day at a Trump property as president and his 148th day at a Trump golf club as president.

Omarosa isn't going away. AP reports she has a huge collection of texts, emails, audio and video to support all her claims in her book, and further claims to come.
She says she will continue to release them

Byker28i what’s the context around this new narrative Fox and Trump are peddling around Bruce Ohr and Steele and contact via email or text?
Just another attempt to shout ‘look squirrel’ or is there any risk to Mueller.
Squirrel.
Team trump have repeatedly claimed wrongly, that the Steele dossier started the investigation and it was political because clinton paid for it.
The Steele dossier was started by replublicans standing against trump, then went no further with them so fusion sold the work done already to the clinton team.

The investigation began because of a drunken team trump member, papadopolous, boasted to an Australian displomat how the Russians were helping trump, before the Steele dossiers was ever released.

They also already had a wiretap on Carter Page. So team trump was already being investigated before the FBI had the dossier.

Steele, feeling the information was important about how the Russians had influence over trump, and were interfering in the election, approached the FBI with the details when he thought nothing was happening. It's therefore to be expected there was some contact between the FBI and Steele.

Nothing in the dossier has he's been proven wrong, almost all of it has been proven correct.

Trump is doing everything he can to muddy the water, sack those who can testify against him, or tie them up with NDA's or 'job offers' of $15k a month, like omarosa and Schiller.

Which makes one wonder if the meeting with Hope Hicks, was one of these deals. When he offered her a job on the 2020 campaign, it was the same words used for Omarosa when she was offered $15k a month to keep quiet.

I'm glad Trumps NDA's don't stand up to scrutiny but her case looks pathetic.
A judge as agreed in the Jessica Denson case that the NDA is very badly written and very limited in its scope

https://www.yahoo.com/amphtml/news/judge-says-trum...

These apparently are the same agreements used for other White House staff, that are said to be unenforceable under the first amendment, but now also have a judges ruling against their legality.

This is quite Incredible that Ty Cobb and the other lawyers bought in over McGahn "took Mr. Trump at his word that he did nothing wrong and sold him on an open-book strategy” , considering all of the obstruction that he had obviously been committing, the Comey firing, the Lester Holt interview, the Russians in the Oval Office, the Comey memos, his conversations with Hannity, the work with Nunes etc

I'm not surprised trump brought in Ty Cobb to lead a personal lawyer team when McGahn told him he worked for the White House, not trump, as trump wanted that personal allegiance guarantee

Why are the DOJ defending this and not Trump Inc ? Is it because its against him as POTUS rather than personally?
Wonder how the DOJ feel?
I doubt yet another lawsuit will distract him from tweeting and golfing

Astounding isn't it.

I'm no lawyer but I wouldn't take Trumps word about anything.

How competent can you be if you believe the bigglyest bullstter on earth?

It is just the blatant hypocrisy of criticising Obama for playing Golf and then doing more!

For sure. I know he's a hypocrite and doing what he said he wouldn't but it's small beer relative to the other stuff.

But it's all at trump properties, so it is an issue.

I guess any "Industry" worth hundreds of Billions of dollars annually isn't just going to shut up shop and say "oh well, that's us stuffed" if a physical wall were to be built, and this just shows it. Anything that makes people rich, immoral or illegal will still occur, ways will be found, the drugs and people will still flow into the country......

I think the counter would look more relevant if you included the number of days he's been President.

But the defence the lawyers are using is that it would detract trumps attention from presidential work, for someone whose spent a third of his time golfing

Trump has tweeted "so many lives have been ruined over nothing."

Mueller has indicted 32 people and 3 Russian companies. He has secured 5 guilty pleas. A jury is deliberating 18 charges in the criminal trial of Trump's former campaign chairman. That's not nothing...

Nor is what's to come
