If he actually put effort in he could cause far more damage
You make a good point. They’ve got a putting green at the WH, if they put a driving range in they could probably convince Donald to stop working altogether

President Donald Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, has now claimed that "truth isn't truth" during a television interview. This is as a reason for Trump not to be interviewed by Mueller.

Absolutely incredible the mess this has all become.

Well it beats KellyAnne Conways 'alternative facts' statement.

"Facts are in the eye of the beholder" -Rudy Giuliani
"Truth isn't truth" -Rudy Giuliani
"Facts develop" -Jay Sekulow
The press secretary gave "alternate facts" -Kellyanne Conway

Meanwhile, it's getting repeated that trumps lawyers are effectively saying the trump investigation are only looking at obstruction.
http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/402571-...

Thats far from the case. Despite the donalds protestations of 'no collusion' there's plenty of evidence there was, even from trumps own mouth about the trump tower meeting, never mind about the evidence from 2013 in moscow onwards.

Then you've trump tweeting yesterday
"The failing @nytimes wrote a Fake piece today implying that because White House Councel Don McGahn was giving hours of testimony to the Special Councel, he must be a John Dean type “RAT.” But I allowed him and all others to testify - I didn’t have to. I have nothing to hide......"
John dean of course was the attorney who testified against Nixon...

I have nothing to hide, but I'm doing my very best to obstruct any investigation...

Coal jobs haven't been growing under trump as he's stated, claiming he was going to 'put the coal miners back to work!'.

It's certainly not in Kentucky, in fact quite the opposite

Nice - thanks, I'll have a listen later.
There's a bit of background noise this weekend from trump supporting sources about what happens if/when manafort is found not guilty or it's a hung jury.
He's up for 18 counts, whilst some might be complicated, I can't see him not being found guilty on the majority.

I was gobsmacked about his statement about the possibility of Trump being "trapped into perjury". Surely the way to avoid committing perjury is to, ummmm, you know, tell the truth?

It's perfectly obvious that his supporters just don't want to absorb this fact, hence clinging to the idea that him having to tell the truth is a 'trap' and therefore somehow underhand.

It's blindingly obvious that an innocent person would be willing to explain and absolve themselves, and Trump's refusal to do so therefore points directly to his guilt. Add in all the denigrating of those investigating, the firings, the security clearance withdrawals, etc etc etc and he couldn't act more guilty if he tried.

I've just spent twenty minutes reading through some of Barack Obama's tweets.
I have no words any more for what Trump is doing to the Presidency.

Donald seems incapable to telling the truth or not contradicting himself repeatedly.

Yep, the last thing his lawyer wants is trump on the stand. Its not that he'll be lying, of course he'll be lying but any semi-competent lawyer will manage to make Trump contradict himself because Trump just cant help big noting himself.

That's what Giuliani means by "trapped" into perjury. He knows Trump wont simply be found guilty of perjury via evidence, he will actually perjure himself, he just cant say that he knows Trump is that daft.

Ultimately it's a losing battle for team Trump. They can delay it, but in the end they will lose.

He said previously that 'many people' approved of his removal of Brennans security clearance, ignoring that many people had written complaining about it.
There's another letter with 175 names on it today

trumps latests tweets - it should be noted that trumps been doing his best to discredit Mueller for months now. Thats the only disgrace with the trump investigation.

So whats the latest bad news thats triggered him then? That Cohen is being investigated for £20m bank fraud? That he knows too much and will probably turn?

Certainly all the legal fees team trump are facing are ruining them, apart from of course trump, who has his campaign funds to dip into
