The woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault has agreed to testify against him next week.

Lawyers for Dr Christine Blasey Ford said she accepted the Senate Judiciary Committee's request to appear before them to be questioned on the alleged attack at a party in 1982.

Some reports say she will testify on Wednesday or Thursday.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-4561585...
Whatever her testimony is, I doubt that it'll stop BK getting appointed.
But it's damaging to the republicans as we head towards Novembers mid terms. They only need two senators to vote against and he's sunk, or they vote him in and she places a formal complaint with Maryland police that will drag on.

Dems should be asking what was in the agreement with Anthony Kennedy to make him retire after months of negotiation with the White House, and why it has to be Kavanaugh...

Why did Dr. Ford just agree to testify even though 1) #GOP Senate Leader doesn't care what she would say, 2) She will get more death threats, and 3) She will be subject to questioning by hostile GOP men about her traumatic & humiliating sexual assault?

Because her story is true.

Devil's advocate... WHY is the US f****d if they don't vote out the GOP?

In the very long term, perhaps debt might screw them up but that's a long time into the future and unlikely whilst the USD is the preferred international currency. However in the lifetimes of the current population

(i) the economy is great
(ii) the US is flexing its' international muscle
(iii) the liberal movement is getting a good slapping.
(iv) Trump is tough on muslims and immigrants
(v) Women are being shown their rightful place

If you're even a moderate right-winger why would vote against him?

If you have even a moderate moral compass how can you vote for him?

The GOP have weaponised hypocrisy at this point - it's astounding what they are prepared to overlook in pursuit of their political goals.

Is there anything Dr. Ford could say that would persuade you to vote against Kavanaugh? Honestly.

GRAHAM: "I want to listen to her, but I'm being honest with you .... What do you expect me to do? Go ahead and ruin this guy's life based on an accusation?

Yeah because he'd still be a judge, wouldn't have been charged....

Lots of money behind kavanaugh.
"Individuals or companies that could one day appear before the Supreme Court may also be bankrolling the campaign to confirm the court’s next justice."

Moderate right wing policies dont include locking children up away from their parents? Dont include banning travel from several countries based on little other than the majority religion? Dont excuse far-right murderers? Dont sleep with multiple women when their wife has only just given birth? Dont spend so much time playing golf when they should be running the country?

Plus many many more...

You're certainly right there, but it is interesting to see how much golfing he does when he claimed he would be too busy to ever do any at all.

He's such a lazy st.

The st is truly hitting the fan tonight. A second woman has come forward with claims against Kavanaugh and Avenatti claims that he has evidence of gang rape involving the nominee. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kavanaugh withdraws.

Thought the SC was supposed to be above all that

Huge backing, they are spending $1.5m on tv ads to support him.

Now we know why the GOP were anxious to push through the nomination last week, they knew, or suspected, there was another woman coming forward against Kavanaugh

https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/senate-de...

Moving on from high school,to Yale....
Cock in the face from Kavanaugh, judge saying he had sex with a drunk woman..

This as CNN aired 5 republican women over the weekend excusing Kavanaugh, saying boys will be boys, much the same excuse they used for trump...

What was in all those documents the GOP have hidden about Kavanaugh. Did they have allegations of sexual abuse?

Any decent POTUS/administration would be distancing themselves from this sort of st.

Not this one. In fact they still openly support Kavanaugh.

Trump apparently said this was why they should have gone full attack on Ford in the first place.
The White House have released a statement about the latest allegations from the woman
https://deadline.com/2018/09/white-house-press-off...

Again, she didn't initially want to get involved, then you've Judges girlfriend saying he admitted to effectively raping a drunk woman with others, now Avenatti says he has 3 other women with credible claims.

Yet still the White House support Kavanaugh. The dems need to ask just what deal was done for Kennedy to resign to make the place.

Woke Romney
@MoMoneyMitt

Donald Trump isn’t sending us his best people. They’re rapists, and gamblers and drunks. Some of them, I assume, are very fine people.
