Kavanaughs telling lies again!
KAVANAUGH: Dr. Ford's claim is not only uncorroborated, it is refuted.

Its not been refuted, it's certainly been collaborated by several others, explaining how judge and Kavanaugh were terrible drunks.

Quite ironic that Kavanaugh just had to consult a written definition of 'sexual behavior,' just as Clinton did at his Monica Lewinsky deposition that led to the Starr investigation Kavanaugh was an over eager participant in.

Reap what you sow?

"We got a filibuster but not a single answer". Accurate.

Probably when Kavanaugh blamed all the allegations on the clintons.

He's really not coming across well...

This is one hell of a show.......

I suspect the Truth, as always, lies somewhere in the grey areas between two peoples emotions, impressions and now memories of a moment all that time ago.

IMO, there is sufficient evidence, including his own testimony, to suggest that the young Kavanaugh was a bit of a party lad, liked his drink, maybe saw women as just sex objects, as often is the case with young men. Imo, if we take the event at just face value, a drunken lad pushes a drunken girl onto a bed at a party, then there is room for both sides of the story to be true, in that i can easily believe that even if the event happened, to Kavanaugh it was just a bit of fun, horse play, probably nothing that much out of the norm.
Guys in college are often physical, testosterone flowing, young men trying to be "alpha males", trying to find their place in the hierarchy of life, so i can believe that a level of physical violence of which that the young kavanaugh though "nothing" could have easily been felt to have been truly frightening by the female recipient. And therefore, it is entirely possibly that one person remembers the event, it stained hard into their memory by fear, whilst the other may have forgotten it almost immediately and it may have become blurred with other similar memories (ie messing around, drunk at parties)

Fast forwards 30 years and i can believe that even if it did happen, and i personally suspect something happened, Kavanaugh may truly believe it didn't as it could have been totally erased from his memory by the passage of time.

The most critical narrative, that of the only other eye witness is not being heard by the committee, which does seem to be a serious oversight to me (as does the lack of a proper, independent, evidence based investigation by the FBI etc)

I think his filibuster time-wasting evasive answers so early in the questioning will worsen and start to sway the fence sitters about his suitability for the Supreme Court.

Since when was a Supreme Court Justice an employee of the President? They are meant to be independent & impartial, if confirmed I doubt Kavanagh will be(but that is what Trump will be hoping for if/when impeached)

How can anyone think he is even 1% telling the truth considering he is offered the full weight of an FBI investigation to clear him and he refuses.

Staggering.

Durbin certainly isn't pulling his punches.
ETA: Lindesy Graham has certainly laid his cards on the table. Blimey. "This is going to stop women coming forward, because of this crap!", "This is not an interview, this is hell!"

His resistance to an FBI investigation is very telling.

"You can't handle the truth"...

I think he's over-playing it after his (Trump) critics said the TV interview was too unemotional.

I must say that if I was that upset about something and wanted to clear my name, I'd call in the FBI in a heart beat.

Hes testifying that he is innocent, but refuses to call on the White House to order an FBI investigation or say why he doesn't want one.

Literally no other questions need to be asked.

This is a fascinating look at the critical intersection between the political and legal systems in the US. It’s not pretty is it.
