I've not seen anything to change my view.

As he's just said one of the main reasons he got elected was because of his rhetoric on immigration. That appeals to a lot of the US population and the Dems don't have a strong counterpoint. Now, as long as he has that, he can spout whatever drivel he wants.

You seem to think that it is only the electorate who are in control of his destiny.

I think it's only the electorate that have a reasonable chance of getting rid of Trump and, at least so far, they seem disinclined to do so.

As I keep saying - we shall see.

He is unleashing demons that he can't control. If you are going to be a Pandora - be prepared for the consequences.

Only about 3 or 4 of the NATO member countries are meeting the 2% defense funding requirement/target/whatever. The US is spending about 4% of GDP, and it is a much larger GDP too. Most NATO member countries are not pulling their weight.
Another way of looking at it - which NATO member is most likely to get involved in stupid conflicts, thereby dragging in all the other NATO members? Who has been the only NATO member to invoke Article 5? And which NATO member was trying to persuade us to give up the Falklands rather than standing “shoulder to shoulder”?

FWIW I’m not against NATO per se, just against hypocrisy which the US generates in copious amounts.
Bosnia, Kosovo, and Libya were all European efforts. There is equal share of conflict to divvy out.

Good job they don’t have hands half the size of Trump, they’d be tiny.

Bets on the following:

1. When/where will McDonalds be trashed
2. As above for Starbucks

Trashing a Starbucks would be a bit self defeating, where else would they sit and use their iphones to tweet about the evils of capitalism?

The polls are (IMO) a reasonable indicator of what would happen.

Not really. The GOP have lost loads of elected positions since Trump has been in. Its something like 40 seats.

Democrats are predicted to take the house in november.

It's not the hands that concern me - it's the hair.

I think "the hair" is some kind of alien parasite that controls The Donald.

It makes sense when you think about it.

In other news, the no expense spared policing operation for the visit is going well.

Unless you are a police officer
