Oh boy. Whataboutism at its finest.
VS. You cannot have failed to notice how Trump has empowered his supporters. How they can now quote and believe all that they don’t understand. The campaign rallies that are about Trump and Trump alone. Thin veneers of politics to give them sustenance. Electioneering out of time.
America is in a very dangerous place right now. Trump is abusing his position, abusing the power he holds. His rhetoric is poisonous and is driving the hatred and division in society.
Nothing anyone could say would convince me otherwise.

Snip usual stuff
It was in response to this.... Except all recent significant US domestic terrorist attacks (excluding radical Islamists) have involved white-supremacist/gun-rights/anti-abortion wackjobs. Oklahoma City, Charleston Church, Olympic Park...

But yeah whatever.....

Of course, Poster says all recent shooty, bomby nutters were right-wing trump loving nutjobs. I point out Bernie Saunders loving left wing shooty nutjob, You claim whataboutism. I point out it is no such thing.... end of...

Nutters are nutters, trying to link nutters to Trump is like trying to link nutters to Islam or nutters to the Palestinians or nutters to the EDL or whatever they have rebranded to this week. There are even some Vegan nutters who think that killing animals is wrong but killing humans is ok....

You really are the most disgusting vile Trump apologist.

Trump is unique in that he is the only senior politician in this country to have actively encouraged his supporters to be violent towards those who disagree with him. He is the only senior politician who has used hate filled rhetoric against minorities, the press, immigrants, "liberals" etc.. He is totally different to any other senior politician. This "nutter" has done what he has done because Trump effectively told him to and has made him feel that violence against Trump's opponents is somehow acceptable. Trump has done to him what Bin Laden and others did to the suicide bombers, brain washed hem into feeling comfortable using violence against their "enemies".

Trump is a cancer and to somehow equate him with Bernie Sanders is disgusting. Bernie Sanders never encouraged anyone to act violently against his opponents. Trump did and does.

Linking Nutters to Trump is like linking Nutters to Anjem Chaudhary. It’s a clear and direct route from arrsehole to “Nutter stupid enough to believe arrrsehole”. Islam would be akin to the GOP. It contains a whole range of people, from he majority who are fairly decent/normal/well behaved to a fringe element of complete loons.

That suggests that you think there are some members of the EDL/FLA/DFLA who aren’t nutters... or am I misunderstanding something?

Especially when the lawyer of the #magabomber says it was trumps that encouraged him, enpowered him, he found in trump a father figure. One who attacked people, who blamed others

Meanwhile trump of course says it's nothing to do with him, his rhetoric

If this was a muslim bomber, radicalised by a preacher, everyone would be up in arms. This is no different. A leader preaching hate

bombs so far found sent to George Soros, Clintons, Obamas, Eric Holder, John Brennan, Maxine Waters (D.C. area), Maxine Waters (L.A.), Robert De Niro, Joe Biden (New Castle, DE), Joe Biden (Wilmington), Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Tom Steyer

Trmp apologists like Rush Limbaugh, Alex Jones, Ann Coulter, Frank Gaffney, John Cardillo, Laura Loomer, Jacob Wohl, Jack Prosobiec all jumped to sell the idea that Trump’s frequent and prolific sewer of inflammatory rhetoric could never inspire a serial bomber, that it was a democrat false flag operation, which is why they didn't go off.

The FBI shot that down saying they were viable devices.

trump will never accept that this is one of the hate filled people that he created, that he's enabled, same as the proud boys, the white nationalist, the Charlottesville car attack.

Just like a radical muslim preacher, he's used his rallies and social media to push that enemies list into the minds of those that feverously lap up and believe his every utterance. He's continuously stoked what people call his base, their resentments, fears, and especially their prejudices.

This isn't a one off as has been proven. This is now where trump has taken america

I guess it I mean whoever it turned out to be would have been grist for the mill for both sides. We are beyond reason here. What looks like a slam dunk, will be twisted into 'well I'm not so sure' within 24 hrs.
It's the end of news.
We already did have a "Left Wing" incident when a Bernie Sanders supported decided to shoot some Senators taking part in a charity baseball game. The atmosphere in the US is poisonous at the moment and there is no doubt in my mind who is creating that atmosphere - and who is refusing to acknowledge their part in this.

You know who I mean.

You can bleat on about the "MSM" if you like but there is one person we KNOW has a responsibility to pull the nation together and we know that this person is pathologically incapable of carrying out this function.

He has been given multiple opportunities over the past few days where, if he was a "normal" President, he could have done a lot to heal the open wounds that he himself has created. Of course, as expected, he didn't even try.

......and I do not disagree with that either.

I would add ALL people have the same responsibility and it is sad that some people cannot see that because both "sides" are so polarised. The middle ground has be drowned out by the noise from both ends of the spectrum.

Good to hear.

He was asked yesterday if he would call any of those who had bombs addressed to them - essentially to act as a reassuring figure (what a President would normally do).

He said "No".

I rest my case..

Fox didn't censor the stickers, that genuinely was fake news.

Fox ran images that were blurred, taken from angles that didn't show the details

Twitter did nothing about the threats this man made.
trumps done nothing to stop the rhetoric

I have written previously about how the slide towards Fascism and Extremism is a journey of many small, incremental steps. And here we have proof. The reason we normally only put responsible people in positions of public service is because this is the only way to ensure that morality and decency are maintained. That person needs to rise above their own politics and selfishness and to be able to put their personal leanings away and to be actively seen to be "doing the right thing". Deep in every one of us is an innate sense of morality, we KNOW what is right and what is wrong, even as children, but our impulsive and egotistical nature means we can often push that morality backwards.

People in power, in public, and with a wide social impact have a DUTY OF CARE to the population to maintain that sense of morality, that is the responsibility intrinsic to their position. When that person puts their own ideals, or goals ahead of their morality, we have the slide towards Fascism/Extremism. Without an overriding moral figurehead, no side ever backs down. They each blame the other, and with every round, the moral level drops. Step, by step, by step. And at each step, it's easier to drop down to the next step than it is to regain the last level. Without a moral compass, acceptable becomes the new un-acceptable.

In this case, we get to bombs being sent to people because the sender doesn't agree with their political standpoint, either side could have been responsible, because the entire moral level of politics has now sunk to such a low level that it became possible for "sending bombs to your opponents" to become acceptable in the eyes of the people. There are always nutters, but giving those nutters a voice is what changes them from nutters to actors......

IMO, Trumps legacy will be years of political infighting, and as a result, neither party will achieve much, and in effect the US will slip backwards as rather than everyone working towards a solving problems, they just fight each other for the lowest step on the ladder. Every time Trump lies, or obfuscates, he drops another step, each and every time he doesn't "do the right thing", down we go. Small steps, but many, many small steps. And so, normal slowly become immoral. The nutters say, "hey, i'm going to send a bomb to that guy who called the president an idiot" because the President told me to do it. The stupider, the more immoral, the angrier any individual is, the more they are likely to be led, but they ARE being led, and in this case, led from the very top.............

99.9% agree with everything you said apart from the 'Deep in every one of us is an innate sense of morality, we KNOW what is right and what is wrong'. Sociopaths don't. I'm not saying Trump is one as I believe he's the very definition of a narcissist; but there are almost certainly a number of high functioning sociopaths in Trumps administration.
