It's trump leading the charge, promoting peoples fears, stoking the rhetoric, spewing hate, appealing to his so called base, ,which lets face it appear to have low morals.
To ignore that is to be as blinkered as you are acusing others of being.
Again, show me where I have ignored any of that please.

No smoke without fire, ask yourself why there are millions of people who consider voting for him and remember millions or those are good decent folk without any of those hate and racist views you like to throw as a blanket reason.

I despair about both sides for different reasons and criticisms on one does not show support for the other. I am in the fortunate position not to have to choose as i have Corbyn and that mad bd John McDonnell to consider.

I don't give a fig about his supporters. I'm more concerned about his effect on the country as a whole and its reputation.
I rest my case and thus in the face of such a position will hold mine and be happy with it.
If only you were honest about your own position - which seems to be that of a a non Trump supporter who is keen to support his views and that of his supporters. And is fairly typical of these closet supporters we get here on PH.

Patently dishonest. Stand by your convictions - even the knuckleheaded ones.

It's getting ramped up here.

Robinson is using the same rhetoric. journalists as enemies of the people in his last cry baby rant.
Someone more credible will run with it soon.

Your claims are rarely backed up by your words.

And hovering around the middle is probably the worst place to be - it's the old "both sides" nonsense at work again.

Destruction of trust and respect, poor politicians/higher standards demanded, lowering and increased "preaching" by a polarised "Political Commentator/own Agenda" based press, Brexit, Eu/National feeling, the components are already in the mixing bowl.

Not sure he has the stones to follow through. I feel certain he's had the discussion with Bannon and has flirted with it.

You are very good at pointing out the problems - which most of us recognise.

Have you got any suggestions for a solution?

Is Trump a valid solution?

I have never looked good in blinkers.

I make no excuse for Trump and my distaste of him has never increased, he has always been a horrid little man and he always will be.

Likewise the distress suffered by millions caused by privileged and hypocritical politicians such as the Clinton's has been as socially destructive and damaging within other communities.

This "If you do not hold precisely my position you MUST be a Trumist" crap is a prime example of shouty people forcing us apart.

Why did you say your distaste forTrump has never increased?

It seems to support my assertions that you think he's just as bad as the others. My argument is that he is significantly worse and far more dangerous.

I find it hard to increase my levels of distaste for him, they started at "vomit level"

Baked beans = vomit, don't like the texture
Cheese = vomit, hate the taste of rotten milk

Different but equally vomit inducing.

And yet the Trump threads have had many posts claiming that anyone who criticises Trump must be.a Clinton supporter.

Let me add for those so blinkered they cannot see the bloody obvious due to a need to shout.

Or This "If you do not hold precisely my position you MUST be a Clinton/Commie" crap is a prime example of shouty people forcing us apart.
