but my final question above
"So why do you think she could not do so?"
I mean a busy MP, working hard for the people of her constituency, but she has this void in her busy schedule where no-one can come forward and say where she was, she can't for the life of her remember, coinciding with her car being clocked speeding...
That's really bad luck......
I didnt say 'I thought she could not do so' "So why do you think she could not do so?"

If you look she did say so
She thought she was in Westminster (and took the form to her mothers house to see who else could have been using the car filledin the form)
She realised afterwards ( and too late) that was wrong - Westminster was in recess
There's no lies involved there or PCoJ. It's just how it is
Whether the jury thinks or knows something else we'll have to see

ohh yes - put my name down as well pls.
Does she have any other points on licence, would this push her into a ban?
Saaby, Want to join us for some balance and to at least give her a fair crack at avoiding a visit to Marble Arch? Does she have any other points on licence, would this push her into a ban?

It'll be a hung jury again next time I reckon.
As has already been posted. Jurors will make up their mind based on many factors.
Then they might listen to the arguments put forward by either side.
The Prosecution and Defence have effectively had a dry run - it will be clearer for them what resonates with a jury and what needs more exposure - they will also have an idea of weaker points in their counterparts arguments that can be exploited. If more evidence gathering is required that could I guess happen. As has already been posted. Jurors will make up their mind based on many factors.
Then they might listen to the arguments put forward by either side.
I assume for instance the former aide will be on the initial witness list not a latecomer
Who knows what extra can be offered by the two to make a difference

Would they (assuming she does ultimately get off) go after her for the S172 offence and slap her with 6 pts and a worthwhile fine?

It will be clean if those Russians keep taking her points!

Shows you just how seriously the legal system treats an elected Member of Parliament allegedly perverting the course of justice. Given that they make the laws, MPs should be held to the highest standard.

PCOJ is as important as those; if people perceive they can appear in court and lie like cheap watches with impunity the edifice of justice falls to bits.
that's an amazing and strange use of words : lie - cheap watches - edifice - fall to bits!?! cant possibly be unintentional combination - you have a secret mission that you hate Casio?
