Of course.

And those who do evade pursuit but are then subsequently apprehended should be executed to ensure justice all round.

So says the Sharia court of PH NPE

They died for failing to stop for a tree.

The crash was in December 2014. He'd got through five pints of cider in the pub one of 'em worked at, where they'd all been for the night, had a "high level" of cannabis, and was doing gawd knows what speed in an RX8 with four people in it at midnight. With the headlights off. In a 30mph one-way two-lane residential road.
As ever quite the sleuth.

Do you have teenage kids ?

No they deserve it for being wreckless idiots ploughing a car into a tree at such speed that it turned it into a twisted mass of metal and human. Its just highly fortunate that it was a tree they hit rather than a pedestrian or an oncoming car.

Unfortunately for them, wreckless is one thing they definitely weren't.

See the problem is, there are a lot of people in this country that look down on certain classes of people, but actually, with attitudes like some of those I see on here, they're no better. There is also an awful lot of tarring large groups of people with the same brush.
...and when people spend their lives being tarred with a certain brush, they tend to start to behave in the manner which people are 'tarring' them.

I was shocked when I went to Germany, how badly Turkish people behave over there compared to the UK. But the German people are really prejudiced against Turks and blame them for everything. Whereas here in the UK Turkish people and Brits tend to get on pretty well, they're not victim to the same level of prejudice as , say, Pakistanis are here and as a result they don't play up to the stereotype so much.

Well said. There seems to be a competition for the most crass and cringe inducing comment here - fuelled no doubt by the ethnicity of those that died.

I wonder where they draw the line - British-Pakistani drops crisp packet and is immediately mown down by passing bus - “the scum had had it coming to him!!” crow the PH lynch mob.
oh do fk off you self-righteous prick. I was waiting for someone to come out with the race card and there it is. If it had been some bunch of twunts from Basildon there'd have been the same reaction
Getting yourself in a lather trying to out-psycho yourself? Well done, you’ve a retarded and stunted emotional reaction regardless of race - I bow to your equality credentials.

Now regarding all the “innit bruv”, “Mohammed” etc. etc. comments - they’d have been forthcoming if this happened in Basildon would they?rolleyes

You're just devaluing the word 'tragedy'.

The Manchester Arena bombing was a tragedy. This was an instance of certainly one, most likely four idiots who gambled with their lives and lost.

If they don't care, why should I? Why should anyone?

I sympathise with the family, I don't sympathise with the occupants.
I'm not devaluing the word, I'm really not. If someone takes a chance in a vehicle, be they a driver or a passenger, and it costs them their lives, that is tragic. Recently, near here, a young lad who'd been drinking cider and smoking cannabis lost control and smashed his car into a wall in Lyndhurst, killing two teenage passengers. So, he was a criminal. He survived, the two female passengers didn't.
In the absence of facts about the Bradford incident, how can PH posters dismiss the Bradford deaths as "good riddance to scumbags" so lightly? Or do you say "good riddance" to Lily Butterfield-Godwin and Abbey Rogers too?
Of course, if posters on here were simply racist keyboard warriors that were hard of thinking, I'd have my answer. Couldn't be that though, surely?
Again, have some humanity people.

Your example is even more egregious. The driver was drunk and stoned when they got in the car. They weren't wearing seatbelts. They were within walking distance of their homes.

taken in isolation you may have a point about innit etc - however, see other threads where some equally retarded white bloke has done similar and you'll see comments such as "smack-head", "chav" (which for some reason appear to be very rarely directed at the BAME community). If it was someone who's of 'old money' he'd be a chinless wonder among other epithets.

The sad fact is that in that area there is a good chance that one of the people in the car was called Mo, is it racist to point this out? Possibly, I really don't know what's racist today compared with yesterday.

I'll reiterate: Am I glad that they're dead? No - I don't know enough about them yet, however, given how fast they appeared to have been going in town/a residential area when they branched off I'm not shedding any tears either. If a child/OaP/young family had been mowed down instead....

They are dead. Nothing you nor I can say or do will hurt them.

If this turns out to be the norm in such situations, there's only one killer, and that's the chap at the wheel. He has suffered the ultimate punishment. He's taken three others with him who may or may not have encouraged the driver, but whatever they did, I bet they did not want to crash.

There's no point in sympathy for the dead. It is self-indulgent. For those they left behind the matter is somewhat different. Let's make the reasonable assumption that they are not culpable in this. Yet they will be the ones who suffer. Friends, family, loved ones; these I have sympathy for. They are going to feel the loss one way or another. In most cases where a youngster dies, the repercussions go on for years, often for the life of those bereaved.

There was more damage done at that crash than just the car; and that was totalled.
Lots of twaddle on this thread. Derek, your comments stand out as measured and sensible, in my view at least.

It always amazes me just how tough trees are.

There really is no arguing with a tree is there?
Total thread deviation warning but i did a explosive course in the military and part of the course was setting charges against certain structures and equipment. Our syndicate had a tree trunk, a big one though. Having the tools-of-the-trade available we used lots of detonator cord and some PE7 explosive. Thinking this thing was going to go off in shower of splinters we retreated back a few kilomteres (some other syndicates were blowing up things that fly through the air very very far!).
Off the charges go and we drive back to the range.
Everything in pieces large or small except.....yep you guessed it, our tree. Scratches, bits of bark on the floor and that was it.
Unless you drill holes into it and place charges inside and a lot, then dont bother. BMW 1 Series....not a chance!

for those of you that don't know the area:

it is very residential. Vast swathes of housing, schools, churches and old folks homes adjacent. That bit doesn't have speed cameras, but within yards, you cannot move for 30 MPH ones. not one or two, but it feels like dozens of them.

Why- well because the standard of driving around there is terrible.

1/2 a mile from here is a massive grammar school, with also a special school- so you've deaf/blind (mainly Asian) children stumbling about.

Now I get this was in the early hours- but this isn't 4 lads doing 80 mph on a duel carriageway- roll forward a few hours its school time and rush hour. Their driving would have been no different at that time of day.

To quote a resident in today's paper " 2 weeks ago cars were racing and ........ caused £6000 of damage to parked cars".

I have absolutely no idea what the answer is though. Young men/fast cars/drug culture/gang culture/access to lots of money. Its not that long ago we had two sets of riots in Bradford (ironically burning down the BMW garage) from this community who genuinely deemed themselves to be untouchable. This I think is the rub as such- " I am untouchable, touch me and I'll shout racist". Not "I am a criminal, irrespective of my race".

Problem is, they still think they are. Half my staff are Pakistani. They're utterly ashamed and fed up of these gangsta lads and the impact it has on them/their families. And their car insurance- you've decent middle aged men paying £1000/£2000 to insure mundane used cars purely because they live in the midst of it. I'm lucky and live well away from it all: £200. It's all very unfair.

Anyway shall we count down the days till it happens again ?

another Police chase or " young man wraps supercar around lampost during EID celebration ?"

Hate, ignorance, name calling, misuse of context and of course race.
Well done Roman, fully paid up member of the self righteous liberal "lynch mob" posting things that are equal and sometimes worse than the very posters who you think you are better than.
You really come across as no better than your target, but then that's to be expected on here when it come to pseudo intellectual card pullers.
