capital punishment for the passengers in a Fail to Stop is a bit heavy.
Suicide by stupid driving might be a better way to phrase it, coupled with suicide by being driven by an idiot.

Unless the police rammed them into a tree then they're not at fault.

This will be kicked around by the Press in whatever way sells papers/air-time - probably quoting drivelling contributions on social media made by other wannabe gangsters to justify anti-police stories.

I just hope the tree is okay.

Type Bradford Bmw crash in Facebook. All 4 have been named. Local British Pakistanis. No idea why they wouldn't stop.

From what remains are visible it looks like something relatively low down the 1er scale, not the sort of thing I'd pick for trying to escape police vechicles when 4-up.

What actually happens in Bradford is the local paper just run the same story every few weeks, just swapping maybe the car type and point of crash about.

this particular one happened in a 30 mph zone. Just look at the damage !

Or this one

Karma eh !

It's always a promising accountant, law student, pillar of the community, bright young star.

Anyway, it doesn't take Columbo to work out the demographic of said drivers does it.

I know what place well. The point of the crash is where a 40 becomes a 30 (or vice versa depending which way you're going). There's a slight bend in the road and a slight crest. Knowing my own car and how it handles on NSL roads that pose a greater challenge than this location I can safely say that this particular bend/crest could be taken at a solid 80mph without challenging a decent, modern car, so quite how fast this one was going doesn't bear thinking about.

It always amazes me just how tough trees are.

There really is no arguing with a tree is there?

Can hardly accuse the Police of doing nothing, given they were chasing them...

Anyway, whilst any loss of life is no doubt horrible for those involved and their families, I will always feel that if you run from the police then you must accept the potential consequences of that choice.

If the Police had died in a car crash chasing them, they wouldn't give a toss.
I would like to see a tougher stance taken when chasing these pricks. End of the day you are fully accountable for your own actions when being asked to stop. I'm guessing 4 promising footballers who were racing to return somebody's borrowed car.

Having to live among utter lunatics that do stuff like this must be very tiresome...

Bradford became a lost cause years ago - the whole place needs ploughing over and starting again, from scratch.

The Toller Lane junction is Girlington not Heaton and that's not the bit where people usually speed. That part is in Heaton. It was NSL past the Sharp's factory when I was a kid.

ETA just looked at the Sun Story. It wasn't at the Toller Lane junction, but at the Hare & Hounds (my Grandad did a stint as a barman there after he retired). That is in Heaton and people do go quickly there.

Absolutely, you just cant beat Trees, lovely things, Walnut, Cherry, Ash, Lime, Poplar,
Oak (often used for making coffins). My favourite is heavily flamed maple, especially on a vintage
late 50's Les Paul Standard, Mmmmm.
