I doubt that the sort of family and friends that I have would do anything so extreme as these idiots, so I'm not sure of the point you're trying to make. I have no sympathy for anybody who treats roads with such disrespect - now do you understand ?
I understand that you have some sort of personality disorder, that is about it.

I'd love for you to be in a room with the family of one of the deceased and just be like 'well they deserved it, no sympathy' – or is it just the internet where you feel comfortable voicing such opinions?
I'm not sure what it is that you don't understand. I can have all the sympathy in the world for the family of the deceased but I'm certainly not going to express any sympathy for people who would be driving so dangerously that they put innocent lives at risk. Why should I ?

Lets cut the st here, if you speed from police you are a bellend for putting the occupants of your car in danger as well as the public. if you die whilst doing so you are still a bellend, just a dead one.

its also a pretty safe bet that the occupants of the vehicle were his mates and no angels themselves. None of them deserved it but im in the no sympathy camp too, apart from their grieving family and friends.

I commute through Bradford and have seen some downright crazy stunts on the roads, overtaking stationary traffic causing oncoming traffic to swerve out of their way for example.

The more of these pricks that are caught by the police or the trees the better.

Never said you weren't, I said you don't deserve to die.

Kewy, I'm mostly with you on this one. There is a tendency on PH to post extreme comments, in the absence of facts. And even if every one of these four victims were criminals, they still had families and friends who have to deal with this tragedy. And it is a tragedy. We should never value human life so little that we can shrug and say "good riddance" when things like this happen. Have some humanity, people.

Blimey, those 4 innits will have been veritable pancakes when they were scooped out of that wreckage.

My sympathy to commuters and other road users inconvenienced by the road closure.

Bradford became a lost cause years ago.
Why is this? - Why Bradford in particular?
I lived in Baildon (a NE suburb/satellite town within the Bradford metropolitan area) and prior to that, Shipley and Wrose areas of the city.
My wife worked at Bradford Royal Infirmary throughout that time and prior to emigrating, I worked for a Bradford-based company.

I mention the above only to illustrate some personal experience, in addition to what could be construed as merely an opinion.

Racial polarization (and the inherent problems and issues it is demonstrated to create) aside, the city has been on an economic slide since the late 60's, with the demise of its core industry. Once the wool and yarn mills started falling by the wayside, so did the city's heart and infrastructure - any re-investment that may have been beneficial to Bradford was far more logically diverted toward its more dynamic and burgeoning neighbor, Leeds.

When I lived there, there was an almost palpable atmosphere of defeat about the place - once magnificent buildings left soot-stained and empty - giant industrial edifices mysteriously burned to the ground with almost monotonous regularity - zero civic pride.

Then a steady and seemingly relentless upswing in crime and lawlessness began to really impact not just the inner city, but the whole area. We were burgled twice - once in broad daylight, I had a motorcycle stolen from my locked garage in the middle of the day while I was at work, police knocked on my door one Saturday night to warn me that my car was definitely being targeted for theft (they'd nicked a bunch of scum ball car thieves), my car was repeatedly broken into (at work/pub car parks/supermarkets etc) and going out for a few evening beers at the weekend was asking for trouble.

I'm sure Bradford is not unique - plenty of other once prosperous northern industrial towns suffered similar demise - it just seems more extreme there.

Lets just wait and see what history they had....

I can easily say good riddance to career criminals. Wouldn't lose a minutes sleep over it (if they were, let's wait and see like I said)

You're just devaluing the word 'tragedy'.

The Manchester Arena bombing was a tragedy. This was an instance of certainly one, most likely four idiots who gambled with their lives and lost.

If they don't care, why should I? Why should anyone?

I sympathise with the family, I don't sympathise with the occupants.

Thank you. It's been a long day and this just tipped me over the edge. I think my main point is that having such disregard for human life makes you no better than the 'criminals' you claim to be such animals.

Now I'm going to go clean my car and blow the cobwebs out!

Holy st fk! That looks like a 1-series? I guess it didn't look that bad before the Fire Service got hold of it.
Not wishing to play 'Sherlock' from a few random pics on the internet.
But...

pretty sure one of those Sun/Facebook pics must be the immediate aftermarth of the collision -
Unmarked 3 series/1 officer/no other responders visible/smoking 1 series

What a mess.

They do. And had one been there, these four upstanding members of the community would definitely still be alive.

Local resident already quoted in the Telegraph & Argus saying that there should be speed cameras on that road. Like that would have stopped them.

I have to drive through Bradford in the evenings quite often. Because I drive a "sporty" car, the local boy racers try to engage me in racing on a regular basis. I don't join in. Seems to be a big problem in Bradford compared to other cities.

Some fking disgusting comments here.
If they had stopped when the police asked them to this wouldn't have happened, would it?

They don't seem like law abiding citizens from what we know so far.

I imagine they were good lads really, promising young footballers, you know the type.
Are you confusing somebody thinking a few folk on here have made some pretty stty comments about multiple loss of life with endorsing the victims’ behaviour ?
Well said. There seems to be a competition for the most crass and cringe inducing comment here - fuelled no doubt by the ethnicity of those that died.

I wonder where they draw the line - British-Pakistani drops crisp packet and is immediately mown down by passing bus - “the scum had had it coming to him!!” crow the PH lynch mob.
