I don’t expect gratitude from anyone, least of all someone who can’t possibly empathise why anyone would need to use a food bank. If you make assertions that I don’t help people then expect to be corrected.
As for holding myself in ‘high esteem’ I’m well aware of the distain the general public hold us in, I experience it and deal with it on a daily basis. Your attitude is nothing new.
YOu do not demonstrate any empathy or understanding of posters on this forum yet this is all you complain about. I know quite a few paramedics, doctors and nurses none of whom have your persecution complex My Doctor friend had 30 years in A&E he has seen it all
.
There a vast army of unpaid volunteers in this Country all doing great things and when there is a need for overseas Aid this Country is always first in line to help you might just look through the History books to see how many lives have been given in the defence of people not from this Country

Yes people like me, who spend their entire working life and spare time helping people, often through the worst events or period of their life.
I take it you chose to be a Paramedic now we all have to be grateful to you. There are many simple ways to help people without holding yourself in such high esteem .Just helping elderly neighbours or a new resident get to know the area that is empathy and understand your talking about your job.I know people who have a lifetime of helping people without any form of payment and quite often no thanks.
No idea where you work but the area I live in and my community help each other out and will always help a stranger who needs help that's the Country I know and I won't let people talk it down

You do also come across as if you are doing the population of the UK a 'favour' and deserve special treatment/respect. You do a tough job! One that probably doesn't get rewarded in ways that are enough for you. Many others don't!!
Please don't be surprised when someone calls you out on what THEY perceive. Refute it and don't play the 'Jezza is a saint' card? That loses all credibility!

Hence why I doubt you have a single empathetic bone in your body.
The word is empathic. The word 'distain' is actually 'disdain' while we're on the subject. If you wish to condescend to me then at least learn to use English.I'm pleased to tell you I neither need nor want any form of approval from you. Good day to you.
I have a great deal of worry and concern for the millions of poor sods in Venezuela who have fallen foul once again to the complete nonsense of modern Socialism. What is happening there is a future vision of the UK should Corbyn and McDonnel get anywhere near power. Millions of starving people leaving the Country which is unable to feed its own population with inflation at rates that cannot be understood by people who think 2 or 3% is a disaster.

If you work at the BBC Corbyn wants you to have your 'class' published.
The man is a dangerously oafish oaf.
I could go for that, as long we also had their political views published too..... The man is a dangerously oafish oaf.
Honestly, identity politics is so divisive, is this the grand plan for social inclusion in the UK in 2018... identify everyone by class ?
What next make people wear some kind of identifying badge ? Perhaps a Six Pointed Star badge for a certain demographic..
That would almost certainly suit Corbyn.

He does not have a monopoly on being somewhat sanctimonious, doesn't like a taste of his own medicine etc, his viewpoint is the "gold standard" and any other viewpoints must be those of bigoted narrow minded racist puppy killers that are only out for themselves, the rest of the world is determined to tread on everyone. That's how it comes across at least.
I find that a depressing narrative and a dangerous downward spiral. To me there is value for society in so many jobs out there that are done well, we shouldn't look down on anyone. The hypocrisy of someone who want's to belittle others actions and views whilst claiming to be emphatic and enlightened over and above others is just beyond the pale for me.

Thought I might just post this link here for those that missed it:
Alan Dershowitz has a go about JC on C4 news
Interesting interview re Trump but diverted briefly on to Jeremy - fun starts at about 28:35 mins
Caught Matt Frei off guard who then had to apologise just before the next ad break.

Will they have to wear a badge with their "class" clearly indicated. The man is a dangerously oafish oaf.
Along with google paying for his own propaganda machine we can already see where this is going.
