Labour showing how they are a serious party ready for government.

Top aide quits

Fisher wrote a memo to colleagues, the Sunday Times reports, saying members of Corbyn’s team had a “lack of professionalism, competence and human decency”. He also accused them of making a “blizzard of lies and excuses” and apparently claimed that the highest ranks of the party were engaged in “class war”

Jeremy Corbyn is being interviewed tomorrow on the Andrew Marr show
BBC1 9am

Hopefully this interview will ask the relevant questions and not meander off into undue negativity. Topics should include why its good to redistribute wealth, saving the NHS, outlawing right wing groups such as Combat 19, The Brexit/ Liberal Democrats and Conservative parties. How to be a good loyal deputy,

I look forward to seeing Jeremy being interviewed and for once shown the due respect he deserves
Surely a balanced interview would have to include his relationship to Hamas, anti-semitism, unilateral disarmament, the £250bn spending increase over 10 years, unclear Brexit position, I could go on

Labour to scrap Ofsted. Rayner doesn’t like st schools being labelled as such. The first step is raising standards in schools is by not having any. Brilliant.

1. Close all Grammar Schools
2. Make private education totally unaffordable by “hardworking people’. To use their favorite phrase.
3. Abolish Ofsted

I can’t see any flaws in this brilliant strategy.

Plenty more recent stuff to question. And here’s where so many get it wrong. A parties Brexit stance (labour actually have non) is only a small part of what determines a GE vote. Unless you’re a bed wetter

Nothing would surprise me from Momentum.

“Shall we get rid of the deputy leader without asking what JC thinks?”

It’s staggering on many levels.

More plausibly he secretly knows - may even have instigated it - but wanted to be able to deny it.

His “of course” to will you be PM for 5 years was a feeble fib!

What are they going to do with all the pupils trying to get into the local state schools after they can’t afford private schools? Or they’ve been abolished or whatever.

Added to Corby’s inadequate handling of the anti Semitic issue, shows he’s not providing any leadership, or effective opposition at all.

I don’t understand how people can see this and still find any redeeming features in his leadership.

Nice (quiet) flag waving!

An education isn’t necessary when all there is to do is sit in the fields piling up mud for the socialist mud hut building programme.

Marr seems to make all these ‘big interviews’ a non event.
He’s got a list of questions, pretty much accepts any answer unless outrageous and then moves on to the next.

I’d like to see Andrew Neil in that spot. It would be worth getting up for.

JC is getting ready to fall on his sword, they're not wanting TW automatically crowned.

You heard it here 1st.

Rubbish
we must have been watching different interviews. Andrew Marr's shameful hounding of Jeremy by repeatedly asking him if he would campaign to stay in the EU was a disgrace. It was little more than bullying and personally I think his membership of any Journalists union should be revoked.

Hopefully the day will soon be here when the BBC has been assimilated into the ruling parties control. It's time that Labour were in charge of good educational entertainment and quality programming covering important topics was shown.

Interesting take.
But he'd still need to be voted in as leader?

seems logical but it does not explain why momentum specifically would want to give TW the chop ? Is TW not representing their wishes more closely than JC ?

That could only be believable if there was a credible front bench alternative to JC.

Oh wait this is the Labour party.

Long may she Rayner.
