I've just watched his interview with Madeley.

So he's not going to support an election, until it's guaranteed that we have a deal at the end of the transition period. Which is impossible to guarantee.

fking coward.
He has no choice.

Johnson is dangling labour at the end of a thread right now. He does not want to agree an extension, because that shows weakness. Corbyn wants to put Johnson in that position of weakness.

There will be an election, which Corbyn will lose. At least then we will finally be rid of him, but Labour will continue to be infected by the Momentum virus.

You do wonder how many of them actually do know the truth, ie that tribal party politics is dead, but are simply continuing down the same road just to hold on to their livelihoods. I don't begrudge anyone the right to earn a living but there must surely come a point when they realise it's time for a change. I believe the electorate is further down the road to realising this than they are and it's this disconnect between dogma and reality that will have to be bridged somehow. The party high ups are getting more and more out of touch as they try to pull together incompatible goals.

But then you look at the last election, where the blue gang and the red gang votes both shot up.

Sure, but that was then and this is now. Big changes have happened in the public's perception of politicians in general but more importantly (I believe) in how they identify with their manifestos. Even if voters still connected with the (IMO) outdated central tenets of those manifestos, the wholesale erosion of truth and constancy has totally diluted their significance. Voters now know and to some extent expect politicians to deviate from the plan as and when it suits them. So ultimately it doesn't matter which party they vote for any more.

and not only that would guarantee that the EU would offer the worst possible FTA. To use the well worn metaphor turning up at the used car dealership and telling the salesman I must have a deal.

Time to end the farce I think and the Tories should resign from office.

You think a Labour lead WA renegotiation wouldn’t be a farce?

The only non-stupid option from here is remaining, but the public voted for and still wants stupid. They can’t fairly complain when they get, but they will.

With a deal in place (not no deal) I don't think the numbers are there for an alternative government. The DUP are extremely unlikely to back Corbyn and there are five former Labour independents who back Brexit.

The Conservatives cant govern but neither, in my view, can anyone else. After the fourteen days we would have a general election.

I've always thought of McDonalds workers as being relatively well paid with reasonable career progression for anyone with some aptitude who can stick it out.

They are. My niece works in one and gets something like £8ph which is pretty good. Just about everyone in hers is a student. They like the flexibility of shifts/and the work isn't difficult. My son (also a student) works in a bar and it's far harder for less money.

If Corbyn wants a burger chain that pays £15 an hour, then he can set one up. Paying nearly 30k a year for a burger flipper to cook fast food simply isn't a sound business model.

Not that he is pushing it rather than supporting it? Owen Jones, War on Want get a mention as the main backers?

What are the pay scales with McD anyway?

The moronic simplicity of that is mind-blowing. All profits should go to workers. Let’s see how well that works out when the company wants to raise funds and/or engage in capital spending.

But why would a company want/need to raise funds/capital Comrade? Not for advancement or product development. There is only one Trabant and no free market so no need to make something better for a competitive advantage. McCorbyn burger, coming to a State burger collective near you. Coupons only.

And why bother training to become a nurse or police officer? Far easier just to work in a burger joint and get paid more.

And all the team leaders will have to be on £20 p/h to make them want to be in charge.

Privately educated Corbyn was in his prime as a student in 1968,

He's still manning the barricades in Paris today

(I would have assumed at LSE, but no, he dropped out of the University of North London after one year)
