Good spin, but absolute bollucks again.
The new trains on Northern (Class 195) aren't directly replacing the sprinters, but the Class 150 routes. In turn, the Class 150 (sprinter) will be moved on to displace the Pacer.
But that's great, cause the 150 is the same age as the pacer anyway (mid 1980s)! New paint and a WiFi dongle and good for another 20 years!
Meanwhile, oldest London Overground train? 2008.
I must be seeing things then .. because I’m sure I keep seeing them and getting on them in/out Manchester The new trains on Northern (Class 195) aren't directly replacing the sprinters, but the Class 150 routes. In turn, the Class 150 (sprinter) will be moved on to displace the Pacer.

But, clearly as you are in South Wales you’d know better

<Blah, London, blah> ... And yet HS2 and CrossRail plough on despite delays, despite cost escalation, to ensure that London continues to benefit.
That'll be the HS2 that connects with Wigan, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Birmingham... And please, let's not get ahead of ourselves on Phase 2b when we haven't even got Phase 1 (and 2a) under £100B.

"Who's going to be the first terrorist invited to the House of Commons, Mr Corbyn?"

The way Jezza is going poor Nicola Sturgeon will be donning Khaki and strapping on a rifle.https://youtu.be/ULZVksUYYzU
He will turn her into the next terrorist as she has to really fight to gain independence

If you do mean the Overground and not getting confused with London Underground surface stock, you are wrong. The Overground Romford-Upminster Line is running 315/317 class units built in 1980/81. When making dogmatic rebuttals of other's posts, correct facts are important. Transpennine Express takes twice as long from Manchester to Leeds than fgw swindon to reading, almost the same as swindon to London.
It's faster to drive to Newcastle than get the train from Bristol. You travel at 120mph towards Wales then take a scenic 70mph max the rest of the way.
Outside of the London bubble the train system is woeful.

To... London. Where's direct the connection between Manchester and Leeds? Oh that slow rail that they aren't even fully electrifying?

HS3/Northern Powerhouse Rail. And please, let's not get ahead of ourselves on Phase 2b when we haven't even got Phase 1 (and 2a) under £100B.
Yes, it will be expensive. But likely worth it. The country really needs modern intercity rail connections.

Corbyn: 'Would have been right' to arrest IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
Wading into the terror area again, surely he must know by now that people view this sort of comment as too soft

Yeah I've just seen it, in a way he's quite reasonably said it would be preferable to arrest these people and put them on trial if possible. It's just that when he says that, you remember his attitudes towards many terrorist groups [freedom fighters...] and can't help but feel his sotto voce is more empathetic than something akin to calm resolve or icy hate. They were at one time threatening to send these ancient 315 and 317 trains onto Wales and the South Wales Metro around Cardiff once the Overground work is done
Spare a thought for London & North Western Railway (successors of London Midland) who have fitted Transit diesel engines to former 1978 District Line tube trains and re branded them as Class 230's
