This topic has really gone off the rails!
Well said, this is not the right platform for that
That post is just the ticket for a return.

Lots of stuff on social media today about his trip to Blackpool.

Witness saying homeless people were moved away from where he was visiting and the crowd following him was brought in by a bus.

Just saying.

NOt the least surprised. Corbyn has always been a tub-thumping rebel rouser, he's a life long agitator not a leader.

Yeah I've just seen it, in a way he's quite reasonably said it would be preferable to arrest these people and put them on trial
Arrest under what grounds? They are way out of their jurisdication.
That’s always stopped the US from extrajudicial actions...
Due process is a function of the state, no? Codified within and between states.

And al-Baghdadi was a stateless terrorist.

It's difficult to see how a stateless terrorist, functioning as an unlawful combatant, was upholding responsibilities and was deserving of rights. Sorry.

They sent a dog in to try and restrain the bloke and arrest him, he then blew himself and his kids up.

So they did try to take him alive, but the nutter blew himself to kingdom come, with not a care for anyone else, including his own family.

Corbyn really is special.

He doesn’t want to lead. He’s an old man who likes to stir the pot

Yes, I understand what actually occurred. And you make an important point about the morals of al-Baghdadi, himself. Something that informs our thinking quite apart from law.

I wanted to address the comment about extra judicial killing of stateless terrorists. As with Osama bin Laden, to make an arrest is merely discretionary. In my opinion, there is no obligation to do so.

In the article linked earlier above, Boris Johnson put it best, I would say: Corbyn's words are "naive to the point of being dangerous".

Increased immigration.
Votes to immigrants and eu nationald.
Votes for 16 year o,ds.
Contrived electoral reform.

There are ways and meas.

They will manipulate the system to get the votes they need.
"If we can't get people to vote for us, we'll import them".
It is more or less what they did in the labor party leadership contest.
Momentum went and signed up lots of new members to vote for jc.

Whether or not he should have been arrested without harm is a rather moot point anyway because I very much doubt Corbyn would have even given the order to arrest him.

I am posting this from my free socialist broadband connection.

Jesus wept....

(More importantly, why is the BBC bombarding me with Labours manifesto as 'breaking news'?)

It's getting ridiculous now! Earlier we had an image of comrade Corbyn looking ministerial with the headline Will Jeremy Corbyn's long march lead to power? Now we've got this latest free give away. I have no doubt next Labour's BBC will be promoting a 2 for 1 free offer. get a free train set with every free lap top or some such nonsense. It's reached the point where i hope everyone realises it's all nonsense.

It's the same reasons women's football is often the top sports story, unless something really big has happened. It's the BBCs platform and they're using it for their agenda.

Yeah but when I read that the image in my head was of a Nazi/Soviet/Khmer Rouge style death march.

Now immediately below Labour's latest free broadband offer, which they've not questioned, they've placed the article "Does the Tory £5bn plan for full fibre add up" It's disgracefully biased.

Wonder why they chose those respective pictures of Corbyn and Farage?
