Teenager slapped by Policeman

So it sounds like we’re all agreed that the actions of the police officer were considered and appropriate
Certainly on the face of it, along with the CC's statement (I imagine he wouldn't release such a statement unless he was confident it was lawful and appropriate). I thought they were quite restrained with the (mother?) who got involved. I'd not let her remain that close.

La Liga, and yourself, make good points about it being open handed; it clearly is and it supports the explanation that he saw her going for the taser.
Still, with that in mind, what do you think of the other equally as uninformed posts celebrating a girl being punched?
It's all so second nature for me to think of these things from a legal context, there's no emotion in it for me in most circumstances of using force (there may be if it's more personal). Still, with that in mind, what do you think of the other equally as uninformed posts celebrating a girl being punched?
I see no benefit in 'celebrating' it.

You are contradicting yourself now. In your first sentence you accept it is open handed and in your second you refer to it as a punch. Which one is it ? Punched or Slapped ?
Slapped obviously.Congrats, you win the internet for proving I'm not perfect.

It's not a case of celebrating a girl being "punched". It's a terrible shame that these little scrotes have absolutely no respect for the police or authority. If they did none of it would be necessary, but they don't and so if a slap brings then back in line then that's a positive step in my book.Just because it's a female makes no difference. Have you seen the way these revolting little madams can kick off.
I work in Accrington a lot, and I would say that 90% of the kids are just like this (grown ups can be just as bad there to be honest). The shutters at the market have some movement in them, so I am guessing that would account for the noise making it sound worse than it was.
To be honest, I am only surprised we don't see this over there more often, when there are a lot of them together they can be quite intimidating, and it's not unusual to see groups of 'kids' partaking of weed on the street in the town centre either.

It always amuses me when some Muppet pipes up with "Wots yur number ?" Like it's some kind of threat/ warning - like the fkwit on the video.
It's there on my fking shoulder for all to see, you imbecile, and do you really think your goldfish brain would remember it for more than a millisecond if I told you ?
Accrington. Looks lovely.

The best way to avoid a complaint from those type of people is to show you don't care whether they do or not. It's there on my fking shoulder for all to see, you imbecile, and do you really think your goldfish brain would remember it for more than a millisecond if I told you?
They think it gives them leverage. When you say, "It''s XXXX, ring 101 and ask for Inspector Smith", they usually don't follow through.
Looks rather restrained to me considering.
Last time I saw a "hard arrest" a chap in work lent a hand, which involved him punching the bloke and knocking him over so the young WPC could put the cuffs on............... He wasn't arrested.. She said "Cheers mate" as he walked away and got his train home.....
