Traffic warden gets a kicking in Birmingham

They should really have some rules and guidelines for when they can and cannot issue tickets. Maybe even let people appeal if they disagree
oh the appeal process, where they throw it in the bin and send you a bigger fine? Last ticket I appealed islinton just ignored (emailed). One before that -Camden- sent £127 check with polite letter requesting detail on how fine was incurred. Check returned without explanation. £200 fine sent 2 weeks later.Like I say it's a racket, they've gamed the system so badly that tradies in London routinely pay a kid to drive the van in circles for hours

Having never received a fine, ever, anywhere, I have always thought the hate towards wardens strange. Yes, I suspect a lot of them are devious and target driven. But if you don't give them the ammo (and it's not hard to avoid) you won't get shot.
They certainly don't deserve that treatment.

I can give you many accounts of my legally parked van being ticketed illegally/unfairly
Go on then.......Was unloading van, bh stops and starts tapping on machine. Asked her six times what she was doing and if van was legally parked. She rips ticket out, slaps on window, and smarmily says to me "you didn't scratch the year off" ( the voucher had the year cleverly included in the month silver scratch off block, so it went 29,30,31,04,05,06, specifically designed to trip people up) That one...I was shaking with rage, I dunno if I've ever been so close to doing exactly what the video above depicts.
Justify those tickets. Or be quiet.

found a traffic warden staning in traffic streetside trying to surreptitiously photograph a used voucher that was on the seat. Pointed him to the voucher displayed correctly pavement side. He said it was a mistake and he'd void it. Received double fine in post for non payment.

None of the above justifies either the linked actions or your condoning of same. So perhaps you could be quiet? Was unloading van, bh stops and starts tapping on machine. In fairness to HairyBen, the “civil enforcement officers” don’t do themselves any favours. Outside our factory there are double yellow lines so we have access to the main roller-shutter doors. They were painted at a time when enforcement was sensible, and it was obviously for factory access and loading/unloading of vehicles. Traffic warden has slapped tickets on our trucks several times while they’re loading we had contacted the council about changing it to a loading bay but they won’t help, probably because they’re on a nice little earner with all the other factory units nearby suffering the same crap. One of our neighbours was ticketed a couple of years ago, so they took thecwarden’s moped and chucked in their van
I don’t condone the violence towards the warden in Alum Rock, but I can see why people lose their rag.

justification is a matter of opinion, my bit is that their behaviour is such that its inevitable, many of you are lucky enough not to appreciate this. Its my understanding a lot more of them get biffed than they like to let on.

At least traffic wardens are not as bad as electricians. Scum of the earth, that lot. Justify those tickets. Or be quiet.

Does issuing a ticket incorrectly (if that was the case) warrant being kicked by multiple people like that?
Unbelievable really. I have long heard that traffic wardens and the like avoid issuing tickets in the areas of Birmingham dominated by Asians of Pakistani descent due to fear of something like this happening.

Like I say it's a racket, they've gamed the system so badly that tradies in London routinely pay a kid to drive the van in circles for hours
.
Especially as it’s rare to see a trademan’s vehicle parked on DYLs all day simply because it’s right outside the place they’re working, they don’t really give a toss if it hampers traffic/pedestrians, they’re quite happy to block off one-way back alleys..
If it wasn’t for the number of selfish to55ers we have we wouldn’t need parking wardens.

In my state they'd be up against the wall, right after we were done with the nonces. The job is a magnet.
Maybe if someone kicked the st out of you, you'd not park like a anymore? Just a thought!!Like I say it's a racket, they've gamed the system so badly that tradies in London routinely pay a kid to drive the van in circles for hours
