So, Metropolitan Police Commissioner, what's going to be the approved terminology for policing the November fixture at Twickenham, when England play the New Zealand All Blacks?
You're in for a treat when you look up the nickname of their basketball team.Pothole said:

Should the use of that phrase form *any* part of any taxpayer funded investigation?
Are you asking my opinion? If so, I'd say it depends on the context and who has complained about its use. Neither you nor I set the SOPs and/or professional standards for any of the 43 UK Police forces, so if you're asking me whether I think it should be covered in same, I haven't a clue. As for the pathetic attempt at emotive language, no investigation of this type should be hampered or tempered in any way by it being publicly funded. How else do you suggest such an investigation should be funded?
ETA: 44, really but the BTP is not directly Home Office funded...

Ah, but when you used pathetic emotive language it was OK? I was merely following your posting style...
Whatever. Answer the question. I did you the courtesy. As for funding an investigation into whether the use of the specific phrase "whiter than white" should be funded, it should come out of the complainants pocket.

Need to rewrite lots of pop song lyrics, here’s another by Los Bravos
Black is black
I want my baby back
Grey is grey
Since she went away.
Have I committed a crime writing that out?
Seriously this PC crap is creating stupidity on an epic scale.
It's actually a good thing, the more ridiculous it gets the more people will start to dismiss it. Looking for offence really doesn't help the *genuine* cases of racism.Black is black

Someone I know is a teacher at a primary school.. During their recent "inset day" prior to the new term starting, they went through a load of "what can we say, what can't we say" type stuff..
Apparently white boards, yes, the one's that replaced black boards, or "chalk boards as they were known for a while .. Well they're not allowed to call them white boards any longer, they are now only to be referred to as "dry wipe boards"

Courteous? No offence intended but you were a pompous arse. With the greatest of respect...

Don't talk soft, of course you intend offence. Sorry I'm not bothered. Thankfully, PSD investigations don't really on individual funding or there'd never be any and police officers would be able to get away with all sorts. As mentioned many times and in the stupidly-headed, sensationalist article, that specific incident is only forming a small part of a much wider investigation into the conduct of this officer and his team. It's just been seized on a a supposed example of "PC gone mad", presumably to discredit and derail the whole investigation. I'm sure corrupt police officers value your support. As for funding an investigation into whether the use of the specific phrase "whiter than white" should be funded, it should come out of the complainants pocket.
